National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Saturday April 27th, 2024  10:00AM-2:00PM, 505 Railroad Avenue, Centreville, MD

The Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies across the nation, will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration's "National Prescription Drug Take Back Day."  Our office located at 505 Railroad Avenue in Centreville, Maryland will serve as a drop off collection site. The event is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Expired, unused, and/or unwanted pharmaceuticals in pill or liquid form will be collected and turned over to the DEA for safe destruction. Medications need not be in original containers. Sharps and syringes will NOT be accepted. The purpose of this program is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential abuse of medications.
