LOCATION:         RT 405 & RT 19, Church Hill

VICTIM:               C.W. Wright of Chester VA

 

NARRATIVE:        Foreman of the work crew reported parking their work trucks at the “Mile Out” parking lot near Church Hill on the evening of January 24th. Upon returning on January 28th at 0630 hours, they discovered copper wire and mats, ground wires and lineman hand tools missing from the trucks. The wire and tools had a value of $6000.

LOCATION:         320 Romancoke Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Kent Island Depot

 

NARRATIVE:        Owner of the store reported finding an empty wine bottle and an empty smoked oysters can in the bathroom. A review of security video showed  a white female with blonde hair taking the items from the shelve and going into the bathroom. When she exited, she no longer had the two items. The video then shows her placing a jar of caviar in her purse, paying for a pack of crackers and leaving the store. The suspect was driving a silver two door passenger car. The items taken were valued at $37.

LOCATION:         900 Love Point Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Male (17) from Chester

 

NARRATIVE:        The School Resource Deputy at Kent Island High School was notified of a student having a confrontation with the Vice-Principal. The student had also made statements about wanting to kill a parent. The student was removed from the school and transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT:           BURGLARY

DATE / TIME:      01/29/2013 @ 1508 Hours

LOCATION:         800 Block of Arrington Road, Queenstown

VICTIM:               Martin & Elva Batson of Queenstown

 

NARRATIVE:        Victims reported they left the residence that morning and upon returning that afternoon, they found that someone had forced their way into the house and had ransacked it. The victims reported several men’s watches, assorted woman’s jewelry and a red Samsung camera to be missing. The items were valued at over $700. The investigation is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sheriff’s Office.

INCIDENT:           CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute

DATE / TIME:      01/30/2013 @ 0003 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 405 & Rabbit Hill Road, Church Hill

 

ARREST:               Jermaine Tyrell Gross (19) of Chestertown

CHARGE:              Possession of Marijuana & Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

 

NARRATIVE:        Following a report of a male acting suspiciously in the parking lot of Royal Farms on RT 213, Sgt. Johnston headed that way. Another report was received that the male was now a passenger of a burgundy colored  Ford which had left the parking lot. Sgt. Johnston located the car near Church Hill going well below the posted speed limit. The car was stopped on RT 405 and the occupants were identified. A K9 scan of the car was done with a positive alert.  A small amount of suspected marijuana was located in the passenger area. A check of the passenger resulted in the seizure of a small baggie of suspected marijuana from his pocket and a large bag with numerous small baggies of suspected marijuana from his pants. Gross was processed at Sheriff’s Headquarters and then taken before a District Court Commissioner who held him on a $10,000 Bail.

VICTIM:               Ryan P. Killough of Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported being at an establishment in Stevensville the previous evening until about midnight before going home. The following morning he was called by one of his credit card companies inquiring about activity on the card. At that time he realized he had lost his wallet with $100 cash, several credit cards and his license. From about 2 AM to 6 AM charges were made at five locations locally and several on line websites. Charges totaled over $350. Investigation continues…

LOCATION:         Dixon Tavern Road near Busic Church Road, Barclay

VICTIM:               Choptank Electric

 

NARRATIVE:        A manager from Choptank Electric reported being notified of two white males in a pickup that had been observed stealing copper wire off of several electric poles laying on the ground. Response to the location showed the wire was missing and the suspects gone. The wire was valued at $500.

INCIDENT:           Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:      01/31/2013 @ 2112 Hours

LOCATION:         700 Block of Davol Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Steven Schools of Stevensville

ARREST:               Sara Margaret Schools (39) of Stevensville

CHARGE:              Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:        Deputies were called to the residence for a domestic that had just occurred. On arrival deputies met with the victim who stated an argument had occurred and that his wife (Sara) had slapped his face and scratched him. The victim had two scratches that were bleeding on his cheek. Sara Schools stated there was an argument but denied assaulting her husband. A third person at the house reported Sara did assault the victim during the argument. Sara Schools was placed under arrest and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. She was later released by a District Court Commissioner.

INCIDENT:           Armed Robbery

DATE / TIME:      02/01/2013 @ 0355 Hours

LOCATION:         4638 Ocean Gateway

VICTIM:               Xtra Mart Store, Queenstown (Formally known as Uncle Marvin’s)

 

NARRATIVE:        The clerk at the store reported an African American male had robbed him at knife point after making a small purchase. After taking the money from the cash registered, the suspect left the store on foot. Witnesses reported the man walked  across the highway towards the Outlets. The suspect is described as about 6’00 tall wearing all black with a hood. He also reportedly had shoulder length dreadlocks. No injury was reported and a small amount of cash was taken.
