CDS Seized: 79.2 grams of suspected cocaine, 11 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 3.2 grams of marijuana, 14.6 Amphetamine pills and 50 prescription pills of unknown composition
Currency seized: $518.00 in U.S. currency
Narrative: On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at approximately 1455 hours the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Team, the Kent County Narcotics Task Force, uniformed Troopers from the Centreville Barrack and members of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office S.C.O.P.E. Unit served two related search and seizure warrants in the Brownsville Road area of Centreville, MD.
The first knock and announce search warrant was served at 300 block of Brownsville Road Centreville, MD 21617. Entry was made into the residence by the Tactical Team after the occupants refused to answer the door. A search of the residence and property revealed 21 cellulose capsules of suspected heroin/fentanyl weighing approximately 11.0 grams, 42 plastic capsules of suspected crack cocaine weighing approximately 64.6 grams, 3.2 grams of suspected marijuana and 518.00 in U.S. currency.
Martaveous Adkins, Dontae Dennis, Victoria Clough, and Clinton Adkins were all detained at the residence during the search.
The second knock and announce search warrant was simultaneously served at 100 block of Carrol Road Centreville, MD. Entry into the residence was made by the tactical team after the occupants did not come to the door. Michael Berger and two other persons were located in the residence and Melanie Turney was located in the camper parked in the driveway. A search of the residence and a camper parked in the driveway revealed 14.5 suspected Amphetamine Pills, 50 prescription pills of unknown composition, 14.6 grams of suspected cocaine, and various pieces of paraphernalia.
Sheriff Gary Hofmann says, “Our job cannot be done without the support and tips from our local community. As I have said in the past, if you have an addiction issue we are very willing to get you help, but if you sell drugs within our community it’s only a matter of time before our drug task force comes knocking on your door”.
Martaveous Adkins and Dontae Dennis, who both have long criminal histories for CDS violations and other crimes were arrested and charged with the Possession of Cocaine with the intent to distribute, the Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute, The Possession of Fentanyl with the intent to distribute, the possession of Cocaine, the Possession of Heroin, the Possession of Fentanyl and the possession of paraphernalia. Both Marteveous Adkins and Donte Dennis were both held without bond.
Victoria Clough was on a criminal summons with possession of heroin and possession of paraphernalia and released on her signature.
Clinton Adkins was charged on an arrest warrant for Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute, The Possession of Fentanyl with the intent to distribute, the possession of heroin, The possession of Fentanyl and the possession of paraphernalia. He was held on no bond.
Michael Berger and Melanie Turney were charged on a criminal summons with the possession of cocaine and the possession of paraphernalia. Both were released on their signature.
This investigation was in response to dozens of citizen complaints about drug use and sales from the Brownsville Road area. This investigation is continuing.

INCIDENT: Malicious Destruction of Property

LOCATION: 1400 Block of Bennett Point Rd., Queentown MD
VICTIM: 61yo Male of Queentown
DETAILS: Deputies were dispatched to the 1400 Block of Bennett Point Rd., Queenstown MD, in reference to a past Malicious Destruction of Property. It was learned that an unknown individuals gained entry onto the property and spray painted numerous signs and items on the property. The victim estimated the damage in upwards of $500.00. This investigation is ongoing.

NARRATIVE: On 5/17/18 at 10:09 am, Dfc Burns responded to a report of a theft. Upon his arrival on the scene, he made contact with the victim. The victim informed Dfc Burns that sometime between January 2018 and May 17, 2018 his 9.5hp Johnson Outboard motor was stolen from his boat located in his backyard. INCIDENT: Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance

CHARGES: Possession of Marijuana over 10 grams;
Possession of Marijuana in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute;
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;
Possession of Cocaine.
DETAILS: Deputy Pack and Dfc. Prince were traveling on Ruthsburg Road and observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated and upon making contact with the driver, Dfc. Prince could smell the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located marijuana and suspected cocaine. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. He was later released on a $5,000.00 bond.

LOCATION: Under Eastside of Kent Narrows Bridge, Grasonville, MD
CHARGED: 17yo Male Centreville, MD
CHARGES: Possession of Marijuana under 10 grams & Possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.
DETAILS: While patrolling under the Kent Narrows Bridge, Cpl. Martz observed a vehicle with several occupants inside it. As he approached the vehicle he observed suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. A 17 year old male was charged on citations and released to a parent.

LOCATION: Chester and Stevensville, MD
DETAILS: On 05/16/2018 between the hours of 1:00 AM and 2:30 Am several burglaries occurred in the Chester and Stevensville area of retail business. In all the burglaries the suspect pried open a rear door or window to gain entry to the business. Once inside the suspect took petty cash and change. Video from one of the burglaries identified a suspect who is described as a white male, heavy set in his mid to late fifties. The suspect was wearing a camo baseball cap, blue wind breaker, green t-shirt, blue jeans, a brown or black belt, and unknown slip on shoes with white socks. The suspect had a set of keys attached to his back right pocket and was wearing gloves and a black ski mask. Anyone with any information on these burglaries is asked to contact Det.
