Queen Anne’s County Annual Fireworks and Family Fun Celebration set for July 4th

The Annual Fireworks and Family Fun Celebration is scheduled for July 4, 2022. We will be having family fun activities at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center. Residents can bring a chair or blanket and enjoy dinner and a firework show from the lawn next to the visitor’s center. Free parking is available at the old outlets, located at the beginning of Piney Narrows Road and a complimentary shuttle will be provided.
When: Monday, July 4, 2022
Time: Parking opens at 5:00 pm
Shuttle starts at 5:30 pm
Family fun starts at 6:00 pm
Fireworks approximately 9:15 pm
Food: Food trucks will be available with food to purchase. You may also bring a cooler. *alcohol is not permitted on county property
Kids: We will have face painting, balloon twist and bounce houses for the kids, free of charge.
Parking: Free parking at the “old outlets” 59 Piney Narrows Road in Chester at 5:00pm
*handicap parking and complimentary shuttle available
Closures: Ferry Point Park including the walking bridge will be closed at sunrise July 2 until noon July 5. If the fireworks are rained out on July 4th the park will remain closed until July 6th.
The Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center parking lot will also be closed to the public at 6:00 am on Monday, July 4th.
The rain date for the fireworks show is Tuesday, July 5, 2022 (it will be fireworks show ONLY, no vendors)
