INCIDENT:          Motor Vehicle Accident

DATE / TIME:     05/15/2013 @ 0629 Hours

LOCATION:         Bennett Point Road near Hemsley Drive, Grasonville

VICTIM:              Robert L. Russell (63) of Grasonville

NARRATIVE:       A white E-350 Ford work van going north on Bennett Point Road attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle and the driver lost control. The van left the roadway into a field where it rolled several times. The sole occupant of the van was transported to the Emergency Room in Grasonville where he was stabilized and then flown to Shock Trauma.

Road conditions and speed appear to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Roadway is now open.
