LEOSA

The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) is a federal law that allows qualified active, retired, or separated law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States or U.S. Territories regardless of state or local laws, while subject to certain restrictions and exceptions.

The Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff holds LEOSA firearms range dates twice yearly. To participate you must download and submit an application. The application can be found here: LEOSA Application

Applications are due to our office at 505 Railroad Avenue, Centreville, MD at least 2 weeks before the range date and must be notarized. Applications may submitted in person or by email to Cpl. Steve Creason at screason@qac.org. There is no fee for this qualification session.

For any additional questions please contact Lt. John Meyers at jmeyers@qac.org.
