INCIDENT: Theft

VICTIM: William Bechtold of Chester
NARRATIVE: Victim reported his tag on his motorcycle trailer had been stolen while the trailer was parked at his residence. The tag number was Maryland 856841G

INCIDENT: THEFT

LOCATION: 441 Outlet Center, Queenstown
VICTIM: Calvin Klein
ARREST: Pending
NARRATIVE: Outlet security reported two white males running into the woods behind the water tower carrying a duffel bag. The area was searched resulting in locating a duffel bag with items from Calvin Klein and Under Armor. Checking with the two stores, an employee at Calvin Klein reported that as the two males were leaving the store, security sensors were set off. When the two were asked to stop, they began to run down the sidewalk.
The recovered clothing items were valued at $232 by Calvin Klein and $289 by Under Armor. Suspects have been developed and investigation remains open.

VICTIM: Male (29) of Linthicum
NARRATIVE: Man walked into the Sheriff’s Office and stated he wanted to harm himself. He was taken into custody and taken to Easton Memorial for treatment.

INCIDENT: Intoxicated Subject
DATE / TIME: 09/15/2013 @ 0420 Hours
LOCATION: 3101 Main Street, Grasonville
VICTIM: Female (23) of Bowie
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to Best Western for a report of a subject passed out in the lobby. On arrival they located a female unresponsive on a couch, however she was breathing as evidence by her snoring. An employee at the scene advised she was believed to be staying in room 220. Contact was made with the room’s occupant who advised she was staying with him and came to the lobby to get her. While trying to ID the subject a small smoking device with suspected marijuana residue was located and charges are pending.

LOCATION: Coleman Road, Sudlersville
VICTIM: Robert Campbell of Sudlersville
NARRATIVE: Alarm sounded at a farmhouse on the road and on arrival it was found that a door to the garage had been forced open. The victim arrived and nothing was reported to be missing. Damage was estimated at $30.

VICTIM: Phillip Callahan of Queenstown
NARRATIVE: Victim reported unknown person(s) had broken into a barn and taken a black & yellow John Deere gas power washer, a battery charger on wheels and a Stihl back pack pump sprayer. Items were valued at $650.

VICTIM: Miguel Macaro of Marydel
NARRATIVE: It was reported that someone had been seen taking bags of soda from the rear of the victims truck while parked at the residence. The suspect was described as a white woman driving a green Chevrolet Blazer. The soda was valued at $50.

INCIDENT: Resisting Arrest / Warrant Service
DATE / TIME: 09/16/2013 @ 0957 Hours
LOCATION: 900 Block of Brick School House Road, Church Hill
ARREST: Donald Leroy Gaines Jr. (34) of Church Hill
CHARGE: Resisting Arrest / Warrant
NARRATIVE: Suspicious subject reported walking in the road on Brick School House Road. On arrival a subject was located who refused to identify himself other than Donald. The subject then advised he lived at a nearby residence and walked away but didn’t go into the residence but sat down behind the house. Again he was contacted and asked for his name or identification which he refused. “Donald was the placed under arrest and began to resist but not placing his hands behind his back.
At Sheriff’s Headquarters he was identified as Donald Leroy Gaines and had an open Circuit Court Body Attachment for his arrest.

INCIDENT: Trespass Posted Property / Disorderly Conduct
DATE / TIME: 09/16/2013 @ 1927 Hours
LOCATION: Bay City Park, Stevensville
ARREST: Julie Ann Seibert (55) – No Fixed Address, Rockville
CHARGE: Trespass on Posted Property – Disorderly Conduct
NARRATIVE: Complainant reported a strange woman at the Bay City Community Park being disruptive and loud. The woman was located, and denied living in the community. She began to yell saying she had diplomatic immunity, police were spies and other statements, refusing to quiet down. When she continued to yell and draw attention to herself she was placed under arrest.
Seibert was processed and then held on a $5000 bail by a District Court Commissioner. A bail review reduced her bail to $1500 and she remains incarcerated.

INCIDENT: Theft from Vehicles

LOCATION: Benton Pleasure Road, Chester
VICTIM: Shannon Odell of Chester
Audrey Land of Florida
NARRATIVE: Ms. Odell reported that someone had taken her purse from her unlocked Honda Accord while parked at her residence. The purse was described as a grey velour Juicy Cotour with pink scotty dogs valued at $140. In addition various cards, a silver wallet and identification was missing. The contents were valued at an additional $100.
While checking with neighbors another victim was located. Ms. Land ‘s wallet had been taken from a car with the wallet being located later on. However credit cards were missing and had been used at several gas stations.

INCIDENT: Burglary
DATE / TIME: 09/17/2013 @ 1947 Hours
LOCATION: 400 Block of Timber Lane, Grasonville
VICTIM: Don Harrison of Grasonville
NARRATIVE: Victim returned home to find that someone had broken into his home and taken several firearms. In addition a knife and various alcohol was missing. In talking with a neighbor the suspects were identified as acquaintances of a family member.
The victim also reported that on several previous dates things had been found moved, left or missing indicating additional entries. A witness reported seeing three subjects driving the victims Ford Expedition in the neighborhood and returning it 15 – 20 minutes later. The witness also reported hearing fireworks or gunshots in the residence.
The following day, the victim realized a picture on a wall had been moved and found it was covering shotgun damage to a wall.
Three suspects were located with the guns and some of the property being recovered. Charges are pending.
