QA Sheriff’s Office hosted CRLEAA meeting this morning at the Sheriff’s Headquarters. CRLEAA stands for Chesapeake Regional Law Enforcement Accreditation Alliance and is comprised police agencies from Maryland, Delaware and Northern Virginia. The group was welcomed by Sheriff Hofmann and meets periodically to discuss current and updated standards for accreditation of police agencies.
The Queen Anne’sCountySheriff’s Office was awarded the first level of accreditation in July of 2010 and currently is working on the advanced level with hopes to be completed and certified by 2013. In addition to Sheriff Hofmann, the team coordinating the accreditation is comprised of Major James Williams, Lt. Dwayne Embert and Dfc. Jeremy Davidson.
