Queen Anne’s County Annual Fireworks and Family Fun Celebration set for July 2nd
Kent Narrows Area: The Office of the Sheriff and its Deputies will begin ROAD CLOSURES and DETOURS on the evening of July 2nd. We will have announcements and real-time information going out via our social media so make sure to follow us!

The Queen Anne’s County Annual Fireworks is scheduled for July 2nd, 2025. Come celebrate with us at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center located at 425 Piney Narrows Road in Chester, MD.
When: Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, with a rain date of Thursday, July 3rd, 2025
Time: Parking opens at 5:30PM, Shuttle Service and Family Fun Activities begin at 6:00PM, and Fireworks start at 9:15PM
Food: Food trucks will be on-site, offering food and snacks for purchase. Attendees are welcome to bring their own coolers, alcohol is not permitted.
Entertainment: Live musical performance by Avenue 66
FREE Kids Activities: Bounce Houses, Face Painters, Photo Booths, and more!
Parking/event location: Free parking at the “old outlets” located at 59 Piney Narrows Road, in Chester. Complimentary shuttle service begins at 6:00PM. *Handicap parking is available
Closures:
- Ferry Point Park will be closed at sunset on Tuesday, July 1st, and will reopen on Thursday, July 3rd, unless the rain date is used.
- The Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center Parking Lot will close to the public at 6:00AM on Wednesday, July 2nd..
- Rt. 18 Waterman's Memorial Bridge ("Old Kent Narrows Bridge) will be closed at 8PM for all traffic. E/B will be directed to Piney Narrows Road to access Rt. 50. W/B will be directed to Kent Narrows Way North to access Rt. 50.
- Ext 41 ( Rt. 50 W/B) will close at 9:30PM and reopen once all traffic has cleared.
- No shoulder parking will be allowed on the Kent Narrows Bridge.
- Multiple Traffic Control Points will be set up at the event by the Sheriff's Office. Please pay close attention while driving and follow their instructions for a safe exit.
Piney Narrows Road will be blocked just past the "old outlets' beginning at 5pm on July 2nd. Residents from Piney Narrows and their guests will be allowed through. All others will need to park at the “old outlets” parking lot. For questions email: bmalasky@qac.org.
