INCIDENT:  Possession of Marijuana less than 10 grams

LOCATION:  E/B Rt. 50 @ Dundee Avenue Chester, MD 21619

ARREST:  Richard Paul Lawrence Lightfoot 21yo male

DETAILS:   On 01/09/18 Cpl. Martz observed a gray Pontiac traveling over the posted speed limit in the area of Rt. 50 and Dundee Avenue.  A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. Cpl. Martz made contact with the driver, Richard Lightfoot. Cpl. Martz detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Further investigations revealed that Richard Lightfoot did not possess a valid license.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana was located inside the vehicle.  Lightfoot was released on traffic citations and a citation for possessing less than 10 grams of marijuana.
