DATE / TIME:      12/10/2012 @ 1811 Hours

LOCATION:         500 Block of Love Point Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Douglas J. Hughes of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported finding the rear window of his 1979 Bronco broken. The vehicle was unlocked and noting was missing from the truck. The damage occurred during the daylight hours on the 10th. Damage was estimated at $500

LOCATION:         Pondtown Road, Chestertown

VICTIM:               Neal Winchester of Galena

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported that he was driving somewhere on Pondtown Road and pulled to the shoulder and exited his car. A vehicle behind him as he was exiting his car drove past and occupants yelled a derogatory “N” word several times. Victim stated he believed the vehicle had continued on. As the victim was about to return to his car he was confronted by a white male and punched several times in the head causing him to black out. The victim stated he got up and drove to his destination in Centreville where he attempted to treat his injuries. Due to the extent of the injuries, a family member transported him to Easton Memorial Hospital.

LOCATION:         1100 Block of Bolton Woods Road, Sudlersville

VICTIM:               John J. Murphy of Sudlersville

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported that sometime during the night someone had broken into his workshop taking tools. A second building had also been entered and additional tools were missing.  Items were valued at $1400 and included Porter Cable, Milwaukee and DeWalt drills, a DeWalt Nailer, a Sears chop saw, a Mantz Rototiller and an Echo Chainsaw.

VICTIM:               Kent Island Library

 

NARRATIVE:        Branch Manager at the Library reported that several pieces of wooden fencing had been broken over the past several days. Damage was estimated at $125.

LOCATION:         Piney Narrows Road near Main Street, Chester

 

ARREST:               Yong Kuai Zheng (35) of Chester

CHARGE:              DWI

 

NARRATIVE:        A silver Toyota van was seen rolling thru a stop sign and then swerved across the shoulder line. The van was stopped and the driver identified as Yong Zheng. The odor of alcohol was present and the driver was asked to exit the van and attempt several field sobriety tasks. As a result, Zheng was taken into custody and charged with DWI. He was later released to a sober relative.

DATE / TIME:      12/12/2012 @ 0326 Hours

LOCATION:         Dorchester Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Male (23) of Stevensville

ARREST:               Pending

 

NARRATIVE:        Deputy Neall responded to the residence to assist medical responders. The female at the location advised she had awoke at about 0325 and found the victim unresponsive and having a weak pulse. The victim was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center by ambulance. Deputy Neall found two hypodermic needles and a spoon with suspected heroin residue near the victims bed. The items were seized and charges are pending results from the lab.
