INCIDENT: Check the Welfare
DATE / TIME: 06/11/2014 @ 1623 Hours
LOCATION: 7100 Block of Main Street, Queenstown
VICTIM: Juvenile (4) of Queenstown
NARRATIVE: Several concerned citizens reported they had located a young child (4) dirty, barefoot and in under ware carrying a doll walking alone near the Post Office. Deputies arrived and contacted EMS to check the child’s condition. Medics decided to transport the child to the Emergency Room for a thorough screening.
Investigation determined the parent of the child had walked to a nearby store and left the child in the care of a friend. Apparently the child was able to leave the house on Aker Road without anyone knowing. The mother responded to the Emergency Room and Social Services was contacted and they requested the child be released to the mother and they would follow-up on the incident.

LOCATION: 1700 Batts Neck Road, Stevensville
VICTIM: Tina Wright of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Victim reported that sometime between June 9th and June 12th, unknown person stole her wood burning stove from the walkway at her home. The stove was valued at $800.

LOCATION: 911 Gunston School Road, Centreville
VICTIM: Gunston Day School
NARRATIVE: It was reported that unknown person had stolen the school’s sign sometime in the past 24 hours. The sign was valued at $750.

DATE / TIME: 06/13/2014 @ 1618 Hours (Reported)
LOCATION: 400 Block of Bay City Road, Stevensville
VICTIM: Catherine Felker of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Victim reported the theft of two “Longboard” type skateboards from her yard. One was described as a Sector 9 Black & Blue longboard valued at $300 and a white Odwalla Jack & Jill Ice Cream Board valued at $150. Victim advised she was gone for a couple of days and upon returning the skateboards were gone.

INCIDENT: Theft – Assault
DATE / TIME: 06/13/2014 @ 2156 Hours
LOCATION: 500 Block of Narnia Drive, Grasonville
VICTIM: Justin E. Edwards
NARRATIVE: Victim reported that he had made arrangements to sell a motorcycle after listing it on Craigslist. The buyer came to his residence and made the deal. The victim states when he was getting the paperwork, the buyer took the cash and fled on the motorcycle. The victim gave chase in his passenger car and while on Grasonville Cemetery Road, reports being rammed by another vehicle twice causing him to end up in a ditch. The suspect on the motorcycle lost control of the bike and left it near a field.
The suspect (Buyer) was described as an African-American male using the name of Orlando Billings and had numerous tattoos. The vehicle that rammed him was a tan Chevrolet Lumina driven by a dark skinned male.
Investigation of the incident remains open.

LOCATION: 600 Discovery Lane, Grasonville
VICTIM: Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
NARRATIVE: Employee at the center reported two small signs had been removed from a wooden post. One sign had a blue crab displayed and the second sign had a green turtle. The signs were valued at $200 and believed to have been taken in the past 24 hours.

LOCATION: 200 Kent Landing, Stevensville
VICTIM: K Mart
ARREST: Steven Francis Buchanan (27) of Centreville
CHARGE: Theft
NARRATIVE: Store Security observed the suspect load a Kenmore 5K air conditioner with a retail price of $120 into a shopping cart and then exit the store without attempting to pay for it. He was stopped in the parking lot and was returned to the store. Dfc. Harris responded and placed him under arrest. After processing at Headquarters, Buchanan was held on a $5000 bail.

INCIDENT: Recovered Stolen Vehicle
DATE / TIME: 06/17/2014 @ 2156 Hours
LOCATION: 1630 Main Street, Chester
VICTIM: William Hollingsworth of Philadelphia, PA
NARRATIVE: An employee at the medical center reported a 2008 Grand Caravan with PA tags had been in the parking lot for several weeks. A check of the tag and VIN indicated the van was a stolen vehicle from Philadelphia. Police there advised they would contact the owner and nothing further was needed. The van was removed by a local company and stored until the owner can reclaim the vehicle.
