INCIDENT:  Civil Citation

DATE / TIME:  8/23/17 at 2346 hrs

LOCATION:  Love Point Rd at Kent Island High School in Stevensville

DETAILS:  Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Volkswagen Jetta for failing to stop at a flashing red traffic signal.  The stop led to a canine scan being conducted on the vehicle.  As a result, suspected marijuana was located.  The amount is suspected to be less than 10 grams.  Driver was identified to be Jeffrey Gardner, 21 YOA from Centreville.  The passenger was identified as Josh McGrath, 21 YOA from Stevensville.  A civil citation was issued to the passenger of the vehicle.

INCIDENT:  Property Damage Motor Vehicle Accident involving US Postal Vehicle

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:  August 23, 2017 at 12:30pm

LOCATION:     Inverness Drive, Church Hill Maryland

VICTIM:          United States Postal Service

NARRATIVE:   On the above date and time, Dfc. A. Neall was dispatched for a minor motor vehicle traffic accident involving a Postal Vehicle.  Upon Neall’s arrival it was learned the driver of a 2004 Saab passenger car was backing from his driveway and backed into a stopped mail truck.  The contact created minor damage and no one was injured.  Insurance information was exchanged and all vehicles were drivable from the scene.
