INCIDENT: Possession of CDS

Juvenile (16) of Sudlersville, MD
CHARGE: Possession of CDS (Marijuana)
NARRATIVE: The parent of the juvenile (17) called and reported him missing since it was 0130 and he had not returned home and it was a school night. The parent gave a description of his car which was located at a residence in Sudlersville. When deputies made contact with the juvenile, he and another juvenile were found to be in possession of several soda cans made into smoking devices and had suspected marijuana residue. An additional smoking can was located in the 17 year old’s vehicle. Both juveniles were referred to Juvenile Services and released to parents.

LOCATION: RT 301 near Rolling Bridge Road, Centreville

NARRATIVE: After a citizen report, Deputies located a youth’s motorcycle covered by foliage on a hedge row on Rolling Bridge Road. The small motorcycle was placed into property held at the Sheriff’s Office. Owner can claim the bike by calling (410) 758-0770.

LOCATION: 200 Kent Landing, Stevensville
VICTIM: K-Mart
NARRATIVE: Store Security reports seeing a female placing items including underwear and facial wax in her purse and jacket pocket. When the female left the store without paying for the items, she was confronted by security persons. The female continued on to a vehicle and left the area. The suspect’s vehicle was registered to an address on Greenville Road near Centreville. Investigation remains open.

LOCATION: Grasonville Park @ Perry’s Corner Road, Grasonville
ARREST: Pending
NARRATIVE: Cpl. Carr on patrol and noticed a vehicle parked in the driveway of the closed park. When he made contact with the driver, an 18 year old male from Grasonville, Cpl. Carr saw a multi-colored smoking device with suspected marijuana inside the bowl. The smoking device was seized and sent to the lab with any charges are pending results.

INCIDENT: Burglary

LOCATION: Fairway Island, Grasonville
VICTIM: Edward & Tamara Holgrem of Grasonville
NARRATIVE: Victim’s reported realizing that over fifty pieces of jewelry was missing from their residence. Victims stated that someone had been at home almost always except for some time in June. No signs of any forced entry was reported. The jewelry which included pendants of Black Hills gold with chains, a topaz ring, diamond rings, a ruby cluster pendant with diamonds, a diamond and sapphire teardrop pendant, an oval sapphire with 24 diamonds ring, a man’s ring made of gold coral and black coral, man’s ring with five cut sapphires and six diamonds, a black onyx pendant with an etching of a panda, and other woman’s rings with various stones such as rubies, diamonds, amethysts and topaz, a gold sailboat charm, a diamond heart pendant with 50 diamonds and men’s gold cuff links. The missing jewelry was valued at over $40,000.

INCIDENT: Assault / MVA Hit & Run
DATE / TIME: 09/13/2012 @ 0229 Hours
LOCATION: Tankard Road near White Marsh Road, Centreville
VICTIM: Brandon Lee Kirsch of Centreville
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the area for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. On arrival the victim was found on the side of the road with injuries to his head. Kirsch was able to advise he was walking on the roadway texting when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. After being hit, the victim called 911 for assistance. Victim was flown by MSP Trooper 2 to Shock Trauma where he was treated for injuries to his head and right hand. When interviewed at Shock Trauma by detectives the victim was uncooperative. Investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported finding her vehicle ransacked and missing three CD cases and a black Magellan GPS. The items were valued at $650 with no damage to vehicle as it was unlocked.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency
DATE / TIME: 09/13/2012 @ 1349 Hours
LOCATION: Main Street, Queenstown
VICTIM: Female (47) of Queenstown
NARRATIVE: Deputies were alerted to respond to location for a female threatening to harm herself. On arrival they located the victim who had been drinking and had taken prescription pills. Deputies also located a glass pipe with suspected marijuana. The female was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center by Ambulance for treatment. Charges are pending reference to the suspected CDS.

LOCATION: Kirby Street, Chester
VICTIM: Amelia L. Atkins of Chester
ARREST: Male (17) of Chester
CHARGE: 1st Degree Burglary / Theft
NARRATIVE: Victim reported she was on her dock checking crab traps when her dog began to bark. When she looked towards her house she saw a male crawling across her deck and open her screen door. When he saw her, the suspect ran away however the victim could identify him. When deputies arrived, the victim stated on the previous day a bottle of Crown Royal and a gold wedding band valued at $2000 was missing however she had not yet reported it.
Deputies went to the suspects home nearby and a family member stated that on the previous day she had sold some jewelry, including a gold wedding band for the suspect at a local jewelry store for $150 because he couldn’t due to his age. The juvenile was charged by juvenile referral for theft and burglary and released to a family member.

NARRATIVE: Manger at the location reported that overnight someone had entered the store and had taken a bank envelope with $70 and $50 of change. There was no sign of forced entry. Investigation remains open
