QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE PRESS RELEASE

LOCATION:             701 Chester River Beach Drive, Chester, MD.

 

ARREST:                   Erica Lynn Halsey (29) of Chester, MD

                                    Nathalie Eileene Caponi Graux (28) of Stevensville, MD

 NARRATIVE:           On Tuesday 4/17 the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force, assisted by uniformed members of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police Centreville Barrack served a search and seizure warrant on the persons of Erica Lynn Halsey and Nathalie Eileene Caponi Graux, Halsey’s 2000 Ford Expedition, and Halsey’s residence at 701 Chester River Beach Drive in Chester, Queen Anne’s County, MD. 

 Task Force members conducted surveillance and observed Halsey and Graux returning from Baltimore City with an amount of heroin which they intended to sell in Queen Anne’s County.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle as it entered Queen Anne’s County, MD.  A search of Graux, Halsey, and Halsey’s vehicle revealed twelve (12) capsules of suspected heroin, a small amount of Cocaine, paraphernalia, several drug ledgers detailing heroin sales, and $110.00 US Currency.

 A search of Halsey’s residence revealed more suspected heroin, paraphernalia, and additional drug ledgers.  A knock and announce entrance was made into the residence utilizing Halsey’s house key which she provided.  Task Force members seized Halsey’s 2000 Ford Expedition after heroin and paraphernalia were discovered in both front door panels.

Erica Lynn Halsey, who has a prior criminal history for the possession of CDS, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Halsey, a former Dorchester County Sheriff’s Deputy was held on a $25,000 bail and is being held at the QA Detention Center. 

 Nathalie Eileene Caponi Graux, who has a prior criminal history for the possession of CDS, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Graux was held at the detention center overnight. She posted a $15,000 bail on Wednesday and was released.

 This case was a result of a two month investigation which involved numerous citizen complaints, and several purchases of heroin from Halsey and Graux.
