Narrative: Sheriff R. Gary Hofmann reports that on May 24, 2012, Detectives of the Criminal Investigations Division recovered a stolen go-cart from a Grasonville MD residence. The go-cart had been observed by a patrol deputy who recognized the go-cart matching the description of a go-cart reported stolen in April 2012. Information obtained during the recovery of the go-cart subsequently lead to the execution of a search and seizure warrant at the Bryce Rd. Centreville MD address of Tyler L. Bull.
The investigation then revealed that there were at least three juveniles who assisted Bull with two burglaries of Central Sod of Queenstown in early April 2012. The investigation revealed that Bull, on both burglaries, and combinations of the three juveniles entered outbuildings of Central Sod and stole guns, GPS equipment, a cell phone, a go-cart and several other items.
Sheriff Hofmann reports that detectives also learned that Tyler Bull, Daniel Sutch (18) of Stevensville MD and two juveniles used the stolen guns listed above to shoot and kill livestock, a school, parked cars and numerous other items of random property in Jefferson County West Virginia near Berkeley Springs after the Central Sod burglaries. Detectives of the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff learned that Bull, Sutch and the two juvenile males caused approximately $15,000 to $20,000 worth of damage in Jefferson County WV.
Bull was arrested and held in lieu of $30,000 bond at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on May 30, 2012 in reference to the Central Sod burglaries. Criminal charges for the juveniles identified are pending. Additional charges are pending for other subjects in the Central Sod burglaries. Sheriff Hofmann reports that detectives have recovered several guns, a GPS unit, a go-cart and other stolen items from the Central Sod burglaries. This case remains open for continued investigation.
