INCIDENT: Theft
DATE / TIME: 03/13/2012 @ 2230 Hours
LOCATION: 1720 Main Street, Chester
VICTIM: Rite Aid

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to area for a report of two suspicious males in the area. Upon arrival, Dfc. House was advised by a citizen that two men wearing hooded sweat shirts had run from the direction of Rite Aid carrying large boxes marked televisions. At the same time, MSP was in Claiborne Woods in the process of …recovering a stolen car. Witnesses there reported seeing two males wearing hooded sweatshirts walking towards the area of Rt. 552 and Rt.18. Dfc. House then walked the path similiar the suspects had taken and located two new televisions in the boxes near a fence a short distance from the stolen car. Despite a rain shower a half an hour before, the boxes were dry. A review of security footage from Rite Aid showed the two males taking the television from the shelf and walking out the door.

The suspects were described as white males, one wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with “NY” on the front, black skinny jeans and black tennis shoes. The second male was wearing a black hat, white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. A search of the area failed to locate the suspects. Investigation by MSP and Sheriff’s Office continues. The televisions were valued at $600.
