DETAILS:           On 9/6/2017 DFC Ahearn was informed by a teacher’s aide, who responded to the Sheriff’s Office, of a suspicious vehicle observed across from the QACHS at the beginning of the school day. The vehicle was described as a green Dodge pickup truck with a cap. Units began to canvass the area looking for the suspicious vehicle and located it at Board of Education Warehouse Facility on Ruthsburg Road. The owner of the vehicle was located and interviewed. While speaking with the subject, Deputies learned that the subject had an active protective order and was not allowed to possess firearms or ammunition.  During the investigation a box of ammunition was observed in plain view within the subject’s vehicle.  After consulting with the States Attorney’s office about the observation of the ammunition and the existing protective order, a detailed search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in the seizure of numerous weapons. The subject was advised that he was not allowed on any school property and released pending possible charges. Investigators will be meeting with the States Attorney’s office in reference to the charges in the near future.
