INCIDENT:      Possession marijuana under 10g

DATE / TIME:  02/16/2018 @ 08:31AM

VICTIM:           State of Maryland

LOCATION:      E/B US Route 50 east of the Kent Narrows Bridge

DETAILS:   Major Dwayne Boardman paced a silver Mercedes C -series four-door sedan with a Delaware temporary tag on east-bound US Route 50 at the Kent Narrows Bridge at 81 MPH in the 55 zone while the roads were wet during a light rain.  During the pace and then during the traffic stop on the shoulder of US 50, Major Boardman detected the odor of marijuana.  The operator of the vehicle, Carm S Destin, a female from Salisbury Maryland admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle prior to the traffic stop and handed Major Boardman a quantity of marijuana that was less than 10 grams.  Deputies and Troopers responded to assist with the incident.  Ms. Destin was cited for speeding and possession of marijuana and subsequently released from the scene.

INCIDENT:      Theft over $1,000

DATE / TIME:  02/15/2018 @ 11:32AM

VICTIM:           34yo male from Chestertown, MD

LOCATION:     Central Drive Chestertown, MD 21620

DETAILS:   Dfc. Cooper responded to Central Drive and met with the victim whom advised that between the afternoon of 2/14/2018 and the morning of 2/15/2018 someone had driven onto his property and stole his enclosed trailer.  The trailer was a white 12 foot box trailer worth approximately $2,000.00.  The victim advised there was approximately $3,000.00 worth of tools located in the trailer.  The trailer was not registered and was being used as a storage shed.  Anyone with information can contact Dfc. INCIDENT:         Burglary

DATE / TIME:    02/15/2018 approximately 2120 hours

LOCATION:       13000 Block of First St., Queen Anne MD

 

VICTIM:              46yo Male of Queen Anne

 

DETAILS:                Deputies were dispatched to the 13000 Block of First St., Queen Anne MD, in reference to a past burglary. It was learned that an unknown individuals gained entry into the garage that is attached to the residence. The victim’s girlfriend was at the residence during this incident and made contact with the home owner. The girlfriend stated the suspect was attempting to gain entry into the residence but did not succeed. The homeowner stated he did not believe anything was taken during the burglary.

INCIDENT:      Burglary 4th Degree

DATE / TIME:    2/16/18 at 8:37 PM

LOCATION:        300 Blk of Wilson Rd in Grasonville, MD 21638

DETAILS:    Victim contacted the QACSO to report a burglary at her residence.  Upon arrival the victim reported that she left her residence at approximately noon.  When she returned home she immediately noticed her front door was ajar, lights were on and a window was open.  Investigation revealed that nothing was stolen and no damage was found.  No suspects were identified during this investigation.

INCIDENT:      Civil Citation: Possession of Marijuana (Less than 10 grams)

DATE / TIME:    2/16/18 at 9:00 PM

LOCATION:        Kent Island High School, 900 Old Love Pt Rd, Stevensville, MD 21666

DEFENDANT:  James L. Wolfe, Age 19 of Stevensville

DETAILS:    While working security at KIHS, Dep Carnaggio observed a vehicle spinning wheels and traveling at a high rate of speed in the parking lot.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified to be the defendant. While at the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the inside of the vehicle.  The defendant admitted to smoking marijuana.  A search of his vehicle revealed burnt marijuana cigarette and drug paraphernalia. The defendant was issued one civil citation and two traffic citations.  The defendant was released on signature.

INCIDENT:      Assault, 2nd Degree

DATE / TIME:    2/17/18 at 1:51 AM

LOCATION:        McDonalds in Chester, MD 21619

SUSPECT(S):  Three African American males.  No further description.

DETAILS:    Victim’s mother contacted the QACSO to report an assault.  The incident involved her 17 year old son and it occurred on 2/16/18 at approximately 9:00pm in the parking lot of the McDonalds in Chester.  Deputy Bush’s investigation revealed that the victim refused to identify the suspects and did not want the police involved.  The victim sustained a hematoma on his head.

A check of the calls of service revealed that at 9:15 PM, the MSP and QACSO deputies responded to that same location for a fight in progress.  When law enforcement arrived, the crowd had already begun to disperse and no victims were identified at the scene.  This case will be closed due to lack of victim cooperation.

INCIDENT:   Motor Vehicle Accident (Single Vehicle)

DATE / TIME:   02/17/18 @ 06:02 PM

LOCATION:   Bennett Point Road / Perry’s Corner Road Queenstown, MD

INVOLVED VEHICLE:  2016 Hyundai Santa Fe,

INVOLVED DRIVER:   26 yr. old female from Queenstown, MD

DETAILS:   Driver advised that she was traveling North on Bennett Point Road when she lost control of the vehicle due to snow, rain, and wet road conditions.  The vehicle swerved into the South bound lane and into a ditch next to a farm field where it rolled onto the driver’s side and came to a rest in that position.  The driver was able to exit the vehicle.  Side air bags deployed but no injuries occurred.  The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.  The vehicle was towed away by Willards Tow Service.

LOCATION:   Clabber Hill Road / Island Creek Road Centreville, MD

INVOLVED VEHICLE:   2019 Jeep Cherokee,

INVOLVED DRIVER:   28 yr. old male from Centreville, MD

DETAILS:   Driver advised that while traveling on Clabber Hill Road, his vehicle lost traction due to snow and wet road conditions and slid off the roadway.  The vehicle struck a tree and the vehicle was disabled.  No injuries were reported.  The vehicle was towed away by Phillips Garage.

INCIDENT:      Driving Suspended/Suspended Registration

DATE / TIME:  2/19/18 at 11:00pm

LOCATION:  Rt. 8 @ Camp Wright Ln., Stevensville, Md. 21666

DETAIL:    Dep. Custis was conducting traffic enforcement when he noticed a black Toyota 4 door sedan with no working tag lights. He made a traffic stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Shelby Anderson (25yo). A check of her driver’s license revealed she was driving suspended and a check of her plates revealed they were suspended as well, with a pick up order. As a result, Anderson was issued traffic citations and her tags were confiscated, to be returned to MVA. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
