NARRATIVE: Victim reported arriving home and finding a door forced open to his residence. Missing from the house was two camo Bear bows and several arrows – (green & white and Zebra colored). The items were valued at $1600. The investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Victim advised in the past he had experienced thefts from his pool house and had since taken measures to increase security. On 12/2 he was alerted that someone was in the pool house and saw a young male inside and a second male on a skateboard. The victim attempted to confront them but lost track of them. Dfc. Boyles responded and after meeting with the victim, patrolled the area and located a subject on a skateboard. Nearby Boyles also located a group of juvenile males and questioned them. As a result Boyles learned that one male admitted to stealing a bottle of gin and that four of the boys had consumed it. The four youths were all later released to parents and the one boy (15) who had entered the building was referred to Juvenile Justice. The bottle of gin was valued at $15.

INCIDENT: Possession of CDS

NARRATIVE: Following a report of suspicious activity in the area, deputies responded and located several vehicles leaving the area. One of the vehicles a red Hyundai SUV was observed swerving across the center line and was stopped. In addition to the driver there were two passengers. Dfc. Boyles responded and did a K9 scan of the vehicle and K9 Beny indicated the presence of CDS. The two passengers then surrendered a smoking device, a grinder and a small container of suspected marijuana. The two passengers both claimed the items and indicated that the female driver was not involved with the CDS.
As a result the driver was issued a warning for the traffic violations and charges are pending on the two males for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported having several persons over for a birthday party on and went to bed about 0530 hours. When she woke up around 0930 she realized her blue dodge van was missing from her driveway, along with two subjects who had been at the party, a Richard White and Brent Lee. Deputies checked several locations known to be frequented by White & Lee without locating them.
Later that morning, Dfc. Fraser located the van onEvans Avenuereturning to the victim’s location. White & Lee were the occupants and they were removed from the van. White was arrested for theft of the vehicle and possession of CDS (Not Marijuana) after deputies found a pill bottle in his possession. A search of the van resulted in locating a large amount of scrap metal which the victim advised did not belong to her.
Questioning resulted in learning that the two had left in the van and while riding around had taken a vehicle axle fromHarbor Drivearea and scrap metal from a location near the Narrows Restaurant. Lee was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and later released on his own recognizance by a District Court Commissioner. White was charged with Theft of the Motor vehicle, Theft and CDS Charges. White was held on a $50,000 Bond.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported to the School Resource Deputy that she had been assaulted by another female as she was walking from a classroom. The victim stated she had been struck several times in the head and face and had apparent scratches and swollen areas. Investigation indicated the victim and another female had an argument and that the third female had struck her due to the disagreement.
The 15 year old aggressor was removed from the school to her home and has bee referred to Juvenile Justice. The victim did not require medical attention.

The items were described as a alternating ruby & pearl ring, a diamond like stone ring, a wedding band and 10 silver dollars in plastic cases. The items were valued at $1220. Further investigation has been assigned to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.

NARRATIVE: Mr. Weale reported that as he was using the ATM at the PNC Bank, he believed he was struck by a pellet of some sort in the hip. While at the location, Dfc. Davidson was contacted by another subject, Sierrah Pierce who also reported being shot in the knee by a pellet a few minutes earlier. She also was able to identify two possible suspects who lived nearby and had been seen with a pellet gun earlier. Contact was made with the two suspects and their parents and it was learned that the boys were shooting from an upstairs window towards persons at the bank. The pellet gun was seized and both boys referred to Juvenile Justice.

INCIDENT: Suspicious Activity

LOCATION: Goodhands Creek Landing,Chester
NARRATIVE: After several complaints of dumping of seafood at the area since August, Sheriff’s Patrols were increased. On 12/6 Dfc. Schwink was patrolling the area and observed a white box truck marked “Phil’s Seafood” backed up to the water. Further inspection showed hundreds of dead crabs in the water along with nine additional trash cans of dead crabs still on the truck. Dfc. Schwink used a stick to measure how deep the crabs were in the water and estimated it to be about two feet. The suspect fromEastonadvised he had been dumping crabs there because he can’t keep them in a dumpster due to the smell.
DNR was contacted and Cpl. Adkins responded for follow-up investigation.

NARRATIVE: Seventeen mailboxes located onJohn Brown Road–Bloomingdale Roadareas were damaged and/or destroyed during the night of 12/6 to 12/7. One of the victims was able to report that a possible suspect vehicle was driving slow in the area around 0030 hours and then headed towards Rt. 213. Another victim reported hearing two loud sounds just before 0100 hours.
Several of the residents reported this type of damage has been re-occurring in this area.
