NARRATIVE: Owner of the 7/11 reported that an African-American male on at least two occasions had come into the store and stolen a pair of sunglasses. Video showed the man taking the glasses removing the tag and making a small purchase and then leaving the store. The second time this occurred, the owner was able to get a tag number of the suspects’ vehicle. Investigation included getting the MVA information of the owner and learning that a male living at the same address named Warren drives the vehicle. MVA photo was requested and the suspect was identified as Warren Edward Bullock (29) of Chester. Charges were applied for and a Criminal Summons was issued for the suspect charging him with theft.

INCIDENT: Sex Offender Violation

LOCATION: 700 Block of Romancoke Road, Stevensville, MD
ARREST: James Adam Burton (29)
CHARGE: Failure to notify of change of address
NARRATIVE: During unannounced home visit on September 15th at the listed address of James A. Burton (Tier 1 Sex Offender) it was discovered that he had not resided at that location for over two months. In addition, the suspect updated his registry information on September 10th which included the Romancoke Road address. An arrest warrant was requested and issued on September 15th. On September 17th Burton turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office. Burton was held on a $25,000 bail until the amount was posted by a bail bondsman.

LOCATION: 303 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown
VICTIM: J Crew
NARRATIVE: Store employees reported that a group of females had come into the store and began to look at the jewelry. One of the females purchased a shirt and then asked for a larger shopping bag. A few minutes later, the female wanted to return the shirt and then joined the group at the jewelry counter. Several women in the group then began to ask employees for assistance while the first woman walked around the store. When the group left, employees located several empty hangers and jewelry tags. The suspect female was last seen running from the area and Outlet Security was called who in turn notified the Sheriff’s Office. Security also reported that the suspect had gotten on a tour bus which had left prior to arrival. The loss was estimated at $312.

NARRATIVE: Robert Greenwald of East Coast Storage reported that two trailers stored on the property were now missing the spare tires and covers. The campers were last checked on the 13th and the loss was estimated at $300.

NARRATIVE: Store Manager reported that the day before a female observed in the employee only section of the store and had a shopping bag with a brown leather purse in it. The female then purchased about $500 of items and left the store going to a waiting silver Mercedes driven by an unknown male. In reviewing the security tape and checking inventory it was discovered that the female had stolen two purses with a value of $1400. However while making her purchases, the woman confirmed her phone number from another purchase at a different location. The suspect is a white female with black – brown – and blond hair in a bouffant hair style. MVA records confirmed a Mercedes was listed at the residence and a MVA photo matched the female in the video. An application for charges was applied for by Deputy Matthews and is awaiting issuance of the charges.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported someone had “keyed” her 2003 Explorer and punctured two tires causing them to go flat. Victim believes the damage occurred around 2300 because her dog was barking. Damage was estimated at $1460.

LOCATION: 32227 Queen Anne Highway, Queen Anne
VICTIM: Female (18) from Ridgely
ARREST: Robert Leroy Sedgewick (46) of Cordova
CHARGE: Assault 2nd Degree
NARRATIVE: Victim reported while she was working at “Hot off the Coals” she had walked to the rear of the business near the walk-in cooler when she realized that a male had followed her. The man began to rub her arm and touching her inappropriately. Victim ran from the area and into the store while the man was “mocking” her and laughing. The man was detained by a Caroline County Deputy who was at the location until Cpl. Russell arrived. After taking statements from the victim, the man identified as Robert Sedgewick was placed under arrest. After processing, he was held on a $30,000 bond at the QA County Detention Center.
