INCIDENT: Theft

LOCATION: 204 Airport Road, Stevensville, MD
NARRATIVE: Broaja Martos from Florida reported that he had flown in from Florida in his Cessna 182 on Saturday the 23rd and last saw his plane on the 26th. On the 27th he checked the plane and discovered that approximately 25 Gallons of aviation fuel valued at $125 was missing.

INCIDENT: Theft
DATE / TIME: 05/28/2015 @ 1424 Hours
LOCATION: Cox Sawmill Road, Henderson, MD.
NARRATIVE: Eugene Higgs of Henderson reported that on May 27th while working in his garden, his 2012 Husqvarna tiller ran out of gas. Victim states that he left in there overnight and then left for a time the following morning. Upon returning home he saw that the tiller was gone. The tiller was valued at $500.

LOCATION: Old Love Point Road, Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Victim Brian D. Weaver of Stevensville reported that as he was leaving the parking lot of Old Love Point Park he heard something strike his 2012 Toyota Tundra pickup. When checking it he found a dent on the right front door. Victim believes it’s possible it may have been from a sling shot. Damages were estimated at $500.

INCIDENT: Theft from Vehicles
DATE / TIME: 05/29/2015 @ 0612 Hours (Reported)
LOCATION: 300 Block of Longfellow Drive, Chestertown (QA)
NARRATIVE: Kedrick L. Yoder reported as he was about to leave for work and realized someone had gone thru his two vehicles and taken a small amount of change. No damage was reported to either vehicle.
A second call came in @1026 from a citizen in the 100 block of Longfellow Drive who had found numerous items in a purse including an Alabama Driver’s license, charging cords, checkbook, wallet and cards. After contacting the Lawrence County, Alabama Sheriff’s Office contact was made with the mother of the victim who stated her daughter was visiting a friend on Longfellow Drive and until being called was unaware her purse was missing. The purse had been left in her unlocked vehicle.

LOCATION: 6400 Block of Sudlersville Road, Sudlersville, MD
NARRATIVE: June Yeager reported finding the house at the location unsecured and called 911. On arrival deputies searched the house and found no one inside. They did locate an entry point with broken glass. Victim checked the residence and was unable to determine if anything was missing. The break-in occurred sometime between the evening of the 28th to the following morning.

INCIDENT: Failure to comply with Court Order
DATE / TIME: 05/29/2015 @ 1450 Hours
LOCATION: 200 Block of Nichols Manor Drive, Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Deputy was called to the residence for an unwanted subject. The caller advised the suspect had been removed the previous day, told not to return and that a Peace Order had been issued.
On arrival the suspect (22) from Chesapeake City, was located on the rear porch with both hands in his pockets. The suspect refused to show his hands and stated he had two guns and wanted to commit suicide by cop. After repeatedly being told to show his hands or cooperate, he was subdued with a Taser. After a brief struggle he was taken into custody.
The suspect was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center via Ambulance for medical attention. Charges are pending for failure to obey a court order.

INCIDENT: Burglary
DATE / TIME: 5/29/2015 – 1824 Hours
LOCATION: 400 Block of Duhamel Corner Road, Marydel, MD
NARRATIVE: William A. Clough Jr. of Marydel (QA) reported he had found someone had entered his residence and stole an estimated $150 in change. Later it was determined that several other items were missing including a jewelry box with assorted items, several $50 savings Bonds and legal papers (Birth certificates, car titles and passport). The loss was estimated at $1400.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency
DATE / TIME: 05/30/2015 @ 0059 Hours
LOCATION: Millington (QA), MD
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the call of a man knocking on residential doors with a noose tied around his neck threatening to harm himself. The man (33) of Felton DE was subdued and transported to Chester River Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT DWI / Handgun Violation
DATE / TIME: 05/31/2015 @ 1109 Hours
LOCATION: West Bound RT 50 @ RT 8, Stevensville
NARRATIVE: A 2004 Chevrolet SUV was stopped for a speeding violation (68 / 55). The driver was identified as Drew William Evans (43) of Berlin, MD. An odor of alcoholic beverage was detected and the driver was asked to attempt field Sobriety tasks.
Based on the observations, Mr. Evans was placed under arrest for DWI. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of an cold open can of beer and a Glock 9MM handgun. A bag with 8 rounds was also located in the driver’s door.
After processing, Drew Evans was released by a District Court Commissioner on a unsecured $7500 bond.

INCIDENT: Domestic
DATE / TIME: 05/31/2015 @ 2113 Hours
LOCATION: Thompson Creek Mall, Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the Thompson Creek Mall for a report of two males fighting in the parking lot. On arrival deputies observed both subjects on the ground.
Investigation revealed that the altercation was between a parent and male juvenile. It was reported that an argument had occurred at their residence and the juvenile had left. The parent located the juvenile in the parking lot and that the juvenile had begun to throw rocks at the parent. The two ended up on the ground with the parent holding the juvenile until police arrived.
The juvenile was referred to Juvenile services and released to parents.
