INCIDENT: Traffic Arrest
DATE / TIME: 08/15/2015 @ 1251 Hours
LOCATION: 1100 Block of Burrisville Road, Centreville
NARRATIVE: A deputy attempted to turn on a silver colored Chevrolet Impala driving at a high rate on Land End Road. The Impala turned onto Burrisville Road and continued at a high rate of speed. At Coon Box Road fresh tire skid marks and a knocked over road sign were observed with the Impala behind a residence unoccupied. Nearby Michael Duane Jenkins (51) of Cordova was located walking.
Jenkins stated he thought that it was DNR attempting to stop him as he had more fish than allowed. A check with MVA indicated that Jenkins was suspended and revoked. Due to an odor of alcohol, field sobriety tasks were attempted. A check of the car revealed a small amount of suspected marijuana.
Numerous citations issued including Speeding, Driving while suspended and revoked, reckless driving, attempting to flee & elude, and DWI. Also a civil citation was issued for possession of marijuana under 10 grams.

INCIDENT: Traffic Arrest
DATE / TIME: 08/16/2015 @ 1505 Hours
LOCATION: Kentmorr Road, Stevensville
NARRATIVE: A silver colored Cadillac was clocked speeding on Kentmoor Road. It was also noticed that the car did not have any license plates and an attempt to stop it was made. The car stopped in a driveway and the driver exited and started to walk away. When the deputy called out to him, the driver began to run towards the rear of the residence. The pursuit continued into a nearby wooded area until the driver was taken into custody.
The driver was identified as Mitchell Brent Ebling (58) of Stevensville who stated he ran because he knew he was suspended and the car wasn’t registered. Ebling was charged with numerous traffic citations for speeding, operating a unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, driving suspended and attempting to flee and elude. He was held on a $7500 bond by a District Court Commissioner.

LOCATION: 201 Wells Cove Road, Grasonville
DETAILS: Robert Mooney reported the theft of his wallet from the glove compartment of his vehicle while working at a nearby establishment. The victim had already found that a $30 transaction on a debit card had occurred in Prince Georges County an hour before.

DETAILS: Brian Thorp advised upon returning home he found his trailer door forced open and his TV, laptop, and game consoles missing. The items were valued at $800.

INCIDENT: Domestic Assault

LOCATION: 400 Block of Dominion Road, Chester
DETAILS: Deputies were called to the residence for a physical domestic. On arrival they were advised by James Hazel III that on his way home he had picked up a hamburger for the suspect, Kara Maxwell. When she noticed that the burger didn’t have any bacon on it she became angry and threw her soda at Hazel and broke a picture frame. Maxwell then allegedly attacked Hazel hitting him in the face, arm and hand causing minor injuries.
Kara Lee Maxwell (40) of Chester was charged with assault 2nd degree. She was held overnight until a $5000 bail was posted.

DETAILS: Robert Hopkins reported that he had an olive drab 17 HP Craftsman riding lawn mower parked in his yard and discovered it missing this morning. The mower was valued at $500.

LOCATION: Caspian Drive – Narnia Drive, Grasonville
DETAILS: Several vehicles, mailboxes and traffic signs were vandalized during the previous night with black and silver paint. A 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, 2006 Volvo and a 2010 Ford work van were spray painted. Damages were estimated at $3000.

LOCATION: 100 Block of Fey Road, Chestertown (QA)
DETAILS: David Carter reported finding two tires on his Chevrolet S-10 Pickup and three tires on his Kia Sportage slashed. Two nights prior, the victim’s daughter found two slashed tires on her vehicle. Damages were estimated $850 for all the damaged tires.

LOCATION: Duke Street, Stevensville
DETAILS: Kendall Kincaid of Chester reported missing her wallet from her vehicle. She believes the theft occurred while she was filling her tires at Citgo on Duke Street. Possible suspects / witnesses were two white males in a red pickup. The loss was estimated at $55.

DETAILS: Derek Purrington reported the theft of his Glock 19 9mm pistol from the center console of his wife’s Chevrolet Suburban. The firearm was valued at $600. No damage to the vehicle.

INCIDENT: Violation of Peace Order / Disturbance of the Peace
DATE / TIME: 08/22/2015 @ 1842 Hours
LOCATION: 3300 Block of Love Point Road, Stevensville
DETAILS: Deputies were sent to the residence on Love Point Road for a female making threats to neighbors and to harm herself. She had called 911 numerous times during the week to complain about being served a Peace Order. In addition she had violated several peace orders by her neighbors during the day by calling them or yelling to them threatening to beat them with a baseball bat.
Deputies entered the house and located the subject sitting in a bathroom drinking a glass of wine. She was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. Kathleen Patricia Spellman (53) of Stevensville was charged with Violation of Peace Orders, Disorderly House, Disturbance of the Peace and Telephone Misuse. She was held by a District Court Commissioner until posting a $5000 bond.

INCIDENT: Possession of CDS

LOCATION: Dominion Boat Ramp, Little Creek Road, Chester
DETAILS: Following a report of two subject smoking marijuana in a car at the boat ramp, a deputy responded. On arrival he located a white Honda Civic with two subjects. As he approached the car the driver held out a plastic baggie with suspected marijuana and said, “this is all I have”. The driver also handed the deputy a burnt hand rolled cigarette with suspected marijuana. The driver also claimed all the marijuana was his.
Jarek Armel Brock (22) of Chester was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana under 10 grams and released.

DETAILS: Employee arriving to work at Teco Inc. advised she found that the front door had been forced open sometime over the weekend. A check of the business revealed that petty cash and a bank bag with cash was missing.

INCIDENT: Telephone Misuse
DATE / TIME: 08/25/2015 @ 0230 Hours
LOCATION: 3300 Block of Love Point Road, Stevensville
DETAILS: Deputy was dispatched to the residence after Emergency Management had received a 911 call from a female requesting to go to jail. When told that calling 911 for non-emergency matters was a violation of the law, the female stated she knew she was abusing the system.
When the deputy arrived at the residence he identified the caller as Kathleen Patricia Spellman (53) of Stevensville who was intoxicated and wanting to go to jail. Again she was advised not to call 911 for non-emergency matters.
At 0352 Hours Spellman called 911 and advised she needed to go to jail. When a deputy arrived, she was irate, cussing and yelling outside her residence.
Ms. Spellman was placed under arrest and charged with failure to obey a lawful order and telephone misuse. A District Court Commissioner held Ms. Spellman until a $15,000 bond was posted.

DETAILS: Richard Rogers reported buying a Roadmaster bike at an auction and putting it in the bed of his pickup. Surveillance footage at the convenience store at the location show an African-American male removing the bike a short time later. The bike was valued at $200.

DETAILS: Residents at location reported that someone had stolen a wooden goose head off of their custom wood mailbox sometime during the night of 8/25 to 8/26.

LOCATION: 100 Block of Duhamel Corner Road, Marydel (QA)
DETAILS: John R. Johnson reported that there had been conversations with several persons reference to “issues” between two subjects and all had agreed the two would meet and fight that night.
Johnson stated a car with 5 or 6 persons and a motorcycle showed up at his location and the two subjects began to fight, with additional subjects attacking one subject. When additional persons arrived, the one group left. The second individual who was attacked, Michael S. Meyers (27) of Henderson remained at the location. Meyers had a swollen eye, lip and scraped elbow but refused medical treatment.

DETAILS: Misty L. Harris reported two bicycles had been taken from her back yard sometime after the evening of August 26th. One bike was a green women’s Bianchi Ocelot Mountain Bike and the other was a man’s Electra Beach Cruiser. The bikes were valued at $320.

DETAILS: David Dammeyer reported the theft of his wallet with $115 from his car sometime overnight. Victim stated the wallet was left in his unlocked car.
