HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL FIELD VANDALIZED

PRESS RELEASE

OFFICE of the SHERIFF for QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY PRESS RELEASE

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL FIELD VANDALIZED

INCIDENT:             MDOP

DATE / TIME:        4/21 to 4/22 (Reported 1000 Hours on 4/22)

LOCATION:           125 Ruthsburg Road, Centreville, MD

VICTIM:  Queen Anne’s BOE / QACHS

DETAILS:               Sheriff’s Office was notified of damage done to the baseball field at the high school. Someone had planted a tree in front of the pitcher’s mound and had scratched in the dirt on the mound “Earth Day 2017”.

It’s likely the incident could be a “senior prank” by several persons, however the damage could be over $2000 or more. The field recently had been redone and at the time of the report it was unknown if any water lines had been damaged.

There was a price tag still attached to the tree and the Sheriff’s Office is trying to see where the tree was acquired.

Anyone with information is requested to contact the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff at (410) 758-0770 or email sheriff-info@qac.org. Tips can also be sent by PM to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
