INCIDENT:                         Theft

DATE / TIME:                    12/22/17 @ 10:46 PM

LOCATION:                       100 Block of New Street, Church Hill, MD

COMPLAINANT:              23 yr. old white female from Queenstown, MD

DETAILS:            Complainant advised that @ approximately 4:00 AM, on 12/22/17 an unknown female gained entry into the complainant’s vehicle (2007 Ford Truck, MD tag 2AC1091) and stole $75 out of the center console.  The complainant was able to provide video footage from the theft and which will be made available to the investigating deputy.  Should anyone have information regarding this incident, please contact Deputy Parker at the Sheriff’s Office.  Investigation is ongoing.

INCIDENT:                         Traffic Stop / CDS Civil Citation

DATE / TIME:                    12/22/17 @ 10:47 PM

LOCATION:                       W/B Route 50 near Duke Street, Stevensville, MD

CIVIL CITATION:              Richard Plummer – 22 yr. old white male from Stevensville, MD

DETAILS:            A traffic stop was made at the above referenced location for an inoperable headlight.  Deputy Bennett conducted a probable cause search of the stopped vehicle (2005 Chevy Cobalt, MD tag 1AY6159) where a small amount of marijuana was located.  The driver, Mr. Plummer, was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams, and released on scene.

INCIDENT:    Theft under $1,000.

DATE / TIME: 12/31/17 at 12:20PM

LOCATION: Pac sun, Queenstown Outlets, 221 Outlet Center Dr., Queenstown, Md. 21658

DETAIL:    The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County responded for a report of shoplifting at the Queenstown Outlets, Queenstown, Maryland. Outlet Security advised that two suspects were approached. The suspects left in a Mazda passenger car, gray in color, with MD tags. Employees of Pac sun advised, one of the suspects had stolen a pair of Puma shoes, size 11, gray/white in color. The same suspects had attempted to steal merchandise from Tommy Hilfiger. Store employees called for the outlet security. The suspects dropped the items in the back of the store and left abruptly. The investigation continues. INCIDENT:   Stolen M/V

DATE / TIME:  12/31/17 at 9:00AM

LOCATION:    3600 Blk of  Main St., Grasonville, Md. 21638 (Park’s Tire and Auto)

DETAILS:  The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County initiated an investigation for a stolen motor vehicle complaint. Victim stated that he had left his vehicle (2008 GMC work van, white in color, MD tag 8CY2397) on 12/29/17 at approx. 4:30PM, parked at Park’s Tire and Auto. He last saw it on 12/30/17 at approx. 11:00PM. The victim noticed the vehicle stolen on 12/31/17 at 9:00AM. He advised the vehicle had been locked, with no keys in it and no one had permission to use it. The vehicle was later recovered by Delmar PD. The vehicle was parked at a location in their jurisdiction, with no suspect(s). The victim was able to recover his van. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County.

INCIDENT:       Traffic stop/CDS violation

DATE / TIME:    12/31/17 at 11:14AM

LOCATION:     Love Pt. Rd. @ Main St., Stevensville, Md. 21666

DETAILS:       Dfc. Prince stopped a vehicle at Love Point Road and Main Street , Stevensville , Queen Anne’s County , Maryland . The Deputy made contact with the driver, Megan Elizabeth Foor (27yo). The Deputy noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. A search was conducted. The Deputy seized marijuana, less than 10 grams. Dfc. Prince issued a civil citation for the contraband and traffic citations for a stop sign violation.

INCIDENT:          DWI

DATE / TIME:    12/26/17 approximately 0237 hours

LOCATION:       100 Block of Wye River Dr., Queenstown MD

 

ARRESTED:        Christina Kalvaitis Anderson, 29yo female of Queenstown

 

 

DETAILS:                 Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Wye River Dr., in reference to a female who was knocking on doors causing a disturbance

 

Upon arrival, Deputies located the female, who was identified as Christina Kalvaitis Anderson (29yo female). It was also determined that Christina had driven her vehicle through a brick wall at the end of one driveway, and ultimately driven into a neighbor’s pool.

 

Deputies immediately could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Christina. After the completion of one of three field sobriety tests, it was determined by Dfc. Prince that Christina was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.

 

Christina was charged with:

  1. Driving vehicle while under the influence of alcohol
  2. Driving vehicle while impaired by alcohol
  3. Negligent driving
  4. Reckless driving
  5. Leaving the scene of an accident
  6. Resisting arrest
  7. Failure to obey a lawful order
  8. Attempt to escape

Christina was issued all appropriate documentation and released to a sober party.

INCIDENT:                         Malicious Destruction of Property               (Christmas decoration Straw Reindeer Yard Ornament)

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:      December 24, 2017 at 11:27am

LOCATION:                       600 block of Victoria Drive, Stevensville, Maryland

NARRATIVE:                     On the above date and time, Dep. J. Jarrett was dispatched to respond to the area of 600 block of Victoria Drive, Stevensville for an M.D.O.P. of Christmas decoration.  The victim advised during the night of December 23, 2017 someone removed a Straw Reindeer Ornament from his yard and stole the head of the deer.  The decoration was valued at fifty dollars.  This case is being actively investigated by Deputy J. Jarrett.

INCIDENT:                         Lost Property (Brown woman’s backpack style “Hobo” leather purse)

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:      December 23, 2017 at 1447 hours.

LOCATION:                       Kmart Shopping Center, Stevensville Md

VICTIM:                             White Female from Stevensville Md

NARRATIVE:                     On the above date and time, Sgt. Layton was dispatched to the Kmart Shopping Center parking lot for a report of a lost purse.  Upon Sgt. Layton’s arrival he learned the victim was shopping at the Kmart.  After placing the purchased items in the back of her vehicle, she pushed the cart to the parking lot cart corral.  The victim stated, she had left her purse in the front portion of the cart.  The victim left the parking lot and when she returned the purse was missing.  Sgt. Layton is following up on possible leads in an effort to recover the purse.  Anyone with information about the purse is asked to contact Sgt. Layton at blayton@qac.org.

INCIDENT:                         CDS Civil Citation

LOCATION:                       Thompson Creek Road, Stevensville, MD

CIVIL CITATION:               Maxwell  Mosscrop –   24 yr. old white male from Stevensville, MD

DETAILS:            While conducting a patrol check of the Park & Ride on Thompson Creek Road, Deputy Bush observed a subject apparently sleeping in his 2004 Ford F150 truck.  As Deputy Bush exited his vehicle to check on the subject’s welfare, he quickly exited his vehicle.  Deputy Bush asked the subject (identified as Maswell Mosscrop) if he was ok.  Mosscrop replied that he was fine.  During their conversation, Deputy Bush asked Mosscrop if he used drugs and Mosscrop stated that he smokes marijuana.  Deputy Bush asked if there were any drugs in his vehicle to which Mosscrop replied that he had a small amount of marijuana.  Mosscrop recovered a small glass container from the center console area and handed it over to Deputy Bush.  Mosscrop was issued a uniform civil citation for possession of less than ten grams of marijuana.  Mosscrop was released on his signature at the scene.

VICTIM: Calvin Klein

ARREST:  Investigation Pending

DETAILS:   On 12/21/2017 @ approximately 1332hrs. Dep. Dickey responded to the Calvin Klein Store in the Queenstown Outlets in regards to a theft that just occurred.  Upon arrival the suspect had left in a vehicle.  Two pairs of jeans valued at $159.00 were stolen from the store.  Investigation is continuing.

LOCATION:  Royal Farms @ 6502 Church Hill Road Chestertown, MD 21620

VICTIM: Royal Farms

ARREST:  Investigation Pending

DETAILS:  On 12/21/2017 @ approx. 0658hrs. deputies responded to the Royal Farms located on Church Hill Road in regards to a past theft.  Upon arrival deputies were advised that earlier in the morning, a male subject had entered the store, stole snack food and auto fluids, for a total value of $53.00.  The investigation is still active and leads are being investigated.

LOCATION:                       200 Block of Claiborne Street in Chester, MD 21619

NARRATIVE:                     Cpl. Hartmetz was contacted by the victim at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to theft of medications. The victim stated that several medications were stolen from her purse while at home. The medications were valued at approximately $12.00 and had just been picked up from the pharmacy. This case is currently under investigation.

INCIDENT:        Traffic stop with CDS arrest

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:      12/29/17       2:00am

LOCATION:                       Rt. 50 @ Rt. 213 Centreville, MD 21617

ARRESTED:                       Travis Baynard of Centreville, MD 21617

NARRATIVE:                     Dfc. Piasecki stopped a Toyota passenger vehicle for a speeding violation in the area of Rt. 50 and Rt. 213 . Dfc. Piasecki identified the driver as Travis Baynard. Several CDS indicators and a K9 scan led to the search of Bayard’s vehicle. During the search, approximately 16 grams of Marijuana was seized. Baynard was placed under arrest for criminal possession of Marijuana over 10 grams. Baynard was then processed at the Sheriff’s Office and later taken to the District Court Commissioner. Baynard was held without bond at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.

INCIDENT:          Burglary

DATE / TIME:     12/27/17 @ 07:05 AM

LOCATION:        100 Block of VFW Avenue, Grasonville, MD

VICTIM:              55 yr. old white male from Manchester, MD

DETAILS:            The Office of the Sheriff responded to meet with a victim in reference to a burglary. The victim advised that multiple items and construction related tools were taken from the construction site at this location. They are valued at approximately $5,894.  The stolen property was located in a construction site trailer.  If anyone has information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the Queen Anne’ County Office of the Sheriff.   The investigation is ongoing.

DATE / TIME:     12/27/17 @ 10:15 AM

LOCATION:        100 Block of Quail Lane, Centreville, MD

VICTIM:              59 yr. old white male from Centreville, MD

DETAILS:           The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County met with a victim. He advised that the front and rear tags had been taken off his 1990 Chevy Van.  The missing tags displayed were Maryland vanity tags. The tag spelled out “CHEVYVN”.  The victim estimated the loss to be approximately $150.  If anyone has had information regarding this theft they are urged to contact Cpl. M. LOCATION:        100 Block of Jackson Road, Grasonville, MD

COMPLAINANT:                 52 yr. old white male from Chester, MD

DETAILS:    The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County is investigating a report of the theft. The victim/ complainant advised a four wheeler was stolen from the 100 block of Jackson Road sometime over the last 3 weeks.  The stolen property is described as a Yamaha Banshee model with a custom yellow paint scheme.  The complainant said it was only the frame and the four tires, as the motor was not attached.  The complainant estimates the value at approximately $1,000.  The investigation is ongoing.

LOCATION:        121 Outlet Center Drive Queenstown, MD

VICTIM:              Calvin Klein Store

DETAILS:            Units responded to the above referenced location for a theft in progress.  Dispatch advised the suspect left in a silver Hyundai Sedan bearing MD tag 2AW8655.  The total value of the stolen merchandise was $75.  The suspect was described to be a white male, approximately 6’2”, 200 lbs., wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.  Upon further investigation, it appears the identity of the suspect may be known.  The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
