INCIDENT: Single Vehicle Crash – No Injuries

LOCATION: Carmichael Rd @ Pintail Point Farm Lane, Queenstown, Md. 21658
DETAIL: The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County and Queenstown VFD responded for a single vehicle crash on Carmichael road. The vehicle described as a 2011 Hyundai SUV, slid off the roadway due to icy conditions, striking a nearby support pole for the power. The power lines did not go down, but the support pole was snapped, causing a metal cable to fall across the roadway. Delmarva Power was contacted and responded to the scene to replace the pole/metal cable. The driver was identified as Matthew Woodward (21yo) and there were no reported injuries at this time.

INCIDENT: Vehicle Pursuit/ CDS/ Warrants Arrested by Centreville PD
DATE / TIME: 12-26-2017
LOCATION: 213 and Taylor Mill Rd
Arrested: Daniel Bo Wong (7-26-1989) of 205 Tackle Cir Chester MD 21619. By Centreville PD
DETAILS: On 12-26-2017 at approximately 1:10pm a look out was dispatched for a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was described as a blue colored SUV and it was observed traveling south on Rt. 213 coming into Centreville. During this time Centreville police located the vehicle and developed probable cause to make the traffic stop. Queen Anne’s County Deputies were on location and assisted Centreville police. During the investigation a K-9 scan of the vehicle was conducted. The results indicated a positive alert for the odor of Controlled Dangerous Substance. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle. He refused to comply with the orders given by police. An attempt to remove the driver was made. At this time the driver fled the scene in the vehicle causing the vehicle to run over the foot of a Deputy. A small vehicle pursuit occurred between the suspect, Centreville Police, Queen Anne’s County Deputies, and Maryland State Police. This ended on Green Spring road just off of Rt 301, Queenstown. The suspect / driver was taken into custody without further incident. He was identified as Daniel Bo Wong. A search of the vehicle revealed controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Centreville police took custody of the driver. The Queen Anne’s County Deputy was treated and released with minor injury to his foot.
