INCIDENT:          Theft

DATE / TIME:     11/08/2013 @ 1334 Hours

LOCATION:         200 Kent Landing, Stevensville

VICTIM:              K-Mart

 

NARRATIVE:       Store security observed two females in the shoe department placing boots on the lower portion of the shopping cart and leave the store without making a purchase. Security confronted the two women and demanded the boots to be returned. The two African American females refused to return to the store and left in a blue Mercury Mariner SUV. Deputies were able to identify a possible suspect and after interviewing her, a second suspect name was learned. Charges are pending.

INCIDENT:          Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME:     11/09/2013 @ 1143 Hours

LOCATION:         Queenstown Outlets

VICTIM:              John A. Waskey of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported parking his truck around 1000 hours in a rear portion of the outlets parking lot. When he returned to his truck around 1145, he noticed the truck doors partially open. Missing was his two guitars and four speaker boxes. Slight damage to the truck appeared to indicate the door was pried.

 

The guitars were described as a blonde PRS Hollow body 2 Electric Guitar and a black Loholland Deluxe Bass. The speakers were dark gray QSC K-4 speaker boxes. The stolen items had an estimated value of $11,200.

INCIDENT:          Assault

DATE / TIME:     11/09/2013 @ 1539 Hours

LOCATION:         7000 Block of Church Hill Road, Chestertown (QA)

VICTIM:              John D. Rolfe of Chestertown

ARREST:              Isaac William Thomas (47) of Chestertown

CHARGE:            Assault and MDOP

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputy Timms responded to the location for a neighbor dispute. On arrival Mr. Rolph reported his neighbor was making excessive noises in his apartment which he could hear in his. Mr. Rolph went next door and contacted Mr. Thomas about the noise. An argument ensued and Mr. Thomas punched Mr. Rolph’s window causing it to shatter.

 

Mr. Thomas was then contacted and admitted to punching the window. While deputy Timms was taking the report, Mr. Rolph came out of his apartment and said something to Mr. Thomas, who then punched Rolph in the face. The two men ended up on the ground fighting. Thomas was placed under arrest and charged with assault and MDOP. Rolph declined any medical attention.

 

Mr. Thomas was processed and then held on a $20,000 bond by a District Court Commissioner.

DATE / TIME:     11/10/2013 @ 0045 Hours

LOCATION:         5124 Sudlersville Road, Sudlersville

VICTIM:              See Narrative

ARREST:              Pending

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies were dispatched to Darlene’s Tavern for a fight in progress. On arrival there were an estimated 30-50 persons both inside and outside in the parking lot. One male was laying on the ground with head trauma.

 

Once additional personnel arrived the fight was broken up and persons separated. The fight may have started with a bump and a derogatory term being said according to some witnesses. A female attempted to break up the fight and she was struck in the face. More persons began to push each other and the fight spilled out to the parking lot. Another witness stated the fight was between groups from Caroline and QA.

 

An ambulance transported the victim, a 48 year old male from Henderson to Chester River Medical Center. Deputy Steenken attempted to interview the witness at the hospital without success as he was unconscious. Family members of the victim after being escorted out of the bar, returned and caused a second disturbance and were removed by additional police units.

DATE / TIME:     11/11/2013 @ 0007 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 18 near Sawmill Lane, Grasonville

ARREST:              Raymond Bernard Potter II (21) of Grasonville

CHARGE:

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputy Parks stopped a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu for excessive speed. While talking with the driver an odor of alcohol was noted. After several field sobriety tasks were attempted, Mr. Potter was placed under arrest and taken to Centreville for charges and processing. A small child in the car was taken to a grandparent who lived nearby.

 

Mr. Potter was charged with excessive speed, DWI and Driving DWI while transporting a minor. He was later released on his signature.
