PRESS RELEASE

 

INCIDENT:           DWI ARREST

DATE / TIME:      11/01/2015 @ 0245 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 302 near Cosden Road, Barclay, MD

 

DETAILS:              A four door Toyota passenger car was observed at a high rate of speed (69 /50 MPH ).  After the deputy attempted to stop the car it continued on for about two miles before pulling over. The driver was identified as Al Fontaine Duduk (50) of Brandywine, MD.

 

A check of Duduk’s license status indicated he was currently suspended and he was also observed to have indicators of a possible DWI.

 

Field sobriety tasks were attempted and based on the observations, Duduk was placed under arrest.

 

After issuance of several citations, he was released from Sheriff’s Headquarters to a sober family member.

INCIDENT:           THEFT

DATE / TIME:      11/03/2015 @ 1228 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         5000 Block of Main Street, Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:              A service technician checking the cell tower discovered 20 back-up batteries taken from the site. The batteries are a large variety made by Alcatel-Lucent weighing about 70 pounds each and have an estimated value of $16,000. The case has been assigned to Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit for follow-up.

INCIDENT:           Assault

DATE / TIME:      11/06/2015 @ 1955 Hours

LOCATION:         200 Block of Washington Drive, Stevensville, MD

 

DETAILS:              Deputies called to the location for a domestic assault. On arrival the female victim reported that she and John Patrick Hevenor where having a few drinks in the rear yard when Hevenor allegedly became verbally aggressive and she went inside the residence. Hevenor followed her inside where she reports he pushed her down and dragged her by the hair. After the incident Hevenor went outside and she locked the door. When he was unable to return inside, he went thru a bedroom window. At this time the victim armed herself with a firearm. When confronted, Hevenor grabbed the handgun and while holding her by the throat pointed the loaded handgun to her face. After being knocked to the floor and dragged by her hair a second time she managed to escape from the residence.

 

Deputies entered the house and located Hevenor in a bedroom and also located a loaded handgun within his reach.  Further investigation resulted in Hevenor being placed under arrest. While in the residence a small grow of marijuana plants was discovered in a bedroom closet.

 

John Patrick Hevenor was charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment and several firearms violations being a convicted felon. Hevenor remains in custody of the QA Detention Center under No Bond. Investigation is continuing.

INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE / TIME:      11/08/2015 @ 1244 Hours

LOCATION:         1925 Main Street, Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:              A white male was observed by a Safeway employee placing items from the cheese and yogurt sections into a bag and then leaving the store. The suspect failed to pay for the items and left in a black car with a DE plate. Investigation is continuing.

INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE / TIME:      11/08/2015 @ 1617 Hours

LOCATION:         1925 Main Street, Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:              Store manager at Safeway advised there had been a large meat theft recently and believed the suspects were in the store again. Prior to arrival the subjects left the store but were not observed taking anything. Two of the subjects entered a car parked in the parking lot while the third subject walked to the rear of the store.

 

Deputies in the area located the subject near the CVS store and once the subject saw the deputies he began to run. While running the subject was dropping items until he was stopped.

 

Items recovered included two containers of Ice Cream, two flea & tick collars, one pack of sanitary napkins and a magazine all of which was valued at $36.

 

The suspect was identified as Michael Nathaniel Reives (43) of Grasonville.  He was charged with Theft under $100, obstruction and resisting arrest. He was later released after a $5000 bond was posted.

DATE / TIME:      11/12/2015 @ 0941 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         1707 Main Street, Chester, MD.

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported the theft of a silver 2007 Road King Boat Trailer capable of towing a 28 foot boat. The trailer was parked in the parking lot of Chesapeake Outdoors and was taken sometime between November 9th to November 12th. The trailer was valued at $4000.

INCIDENT:           Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      11/13/2015 @ 1515 Hours

LOCATION:         200 Block of Laysan Teal Court, Church Hill, MD

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported that he had discovered several items missing from the center console of his vehicle including his wallet, credit cards, $540 cash and some prescription medications.  Total loss estimated at $880. No damage was done to the vehicle.

INCIDENT:           Theft / Burglary

DATE / TIME:      11/15/2015 @ 1015 Hours

LOCATION:         4000 Block of Main Street, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported the theft of a Glock 17 pistol from the residence. Victim stated that a door glass had been broken to gain entry and the gun had been left on the kitchen table under a towel. The gun was reported to be loaded and valued at $500. Nothing else was reported to be missing.
