INCIDENT:        Shooting with Injury

DATE / TIME:    11/19/2016 @ 0230 Hours

LOCATION:       Main Street, Grasonville

DETAILS:          Shortly after 0230 hours the Queen Anne’s Emergency Room contacted the Sheriff’s Office reporting a patient had just arrived at the ER with a gunshot wound to his arm.

The victim, a 22 year old male from Church Hill advised he was sitting in a car in the parking lot of the church across from the Grasonville Community Center. As the party being held at the community center was

letting out, an unknown person fired several shots, with one striking the victim.

When QA Sheriff’s Patrol Units arrived to the Community Center everyone had left. The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit responded and is assigned the investigation.

The victim was treated and released at the QA ER. His name is being withheld as it an active investigation.
