NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to the residence for an unresponsive male age 25.  The investigation remains open pending an autopsy report from the Medical Examiner.

DATE / TIME:      Reported 12/16/2011 @ 0930 Hours

LOCATION:        Communications Tower Site, Main Street, Grasonville

VICTIM:                Crown Castle International, Inc.

 

NARRATIVE:        A Field Engineer with Verizon was at the location running some tests when he discovered that numerous ground wires and a copper ground bar were missing from the site. The engineer went on to say that the damage would likely not affect normal service unless a lightning strike occurred. Companies affected by the damage included Verizon – AT&T – T Mobile – Nextel – Sprint. Damage was estimated at $1000

INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE / TIME:      12/16/2011 @ 1326 Hours

LOCATION:        Kent Town Market, Chester

VICTIM:                Dollar Tree Store

ARREST:               Kenneth Duane Joyce (38) of Chester

CHARGE:              Theft (2 Counts), Possession of CDS (Marijuana) and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia

 

NARRATIVE:       Store manager at Dollar Tree reported that a white male had attempted to conceal numerous items from the store. As he attempted to leave, she was able to recover dog treats, 13 pairs of socks and several packages of beef jerky, but the subject fled with additional items. A short time later an MdTA Officer located the subject on Main Street in Stevensville. Dfc. Brockman responded to the location and identified the suspect as Kenny Joyce. He was in possession of a dollar tree bag with gloves, shoe insoles, dog treats and dog toys. It was also learned that Joyce had attempted to take four pairs of shoes from the Today’s / Yesterday’s Consignment store. Joyce was placed under arrest and was found to be in possession of smoking device with suspect marijuana residue. Items had a value of $33.

 

After processing at the Sheriff’s Headquarters, Joyce was taken before a District Court Commissioner who held Joyce on a $5000 bail.

LOCATION:        200 Block of Princess Anne Drive, Chestertown

VICTIM:                Donald Chapman of Chestertown

 

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported finding his shed door open and a McCulloch 18” chainsaw and gas can missing. The items were valued at $220. No damage was done to the shed in order to gain entry.

LOCATION:        500 Amberly Lane, Queenstown

VICTIM:                Hunters Oak Golf Course

 

NARRATIVE:       Employees at the location reported that a John Deere 5225 series tractor was missing from the maintenance shed. The last time the tractor was seen was on 12/14 at 1100 Hours. The tractor had a blower attachment which was disconnected at left at the location. The tractor was valued at $40,000.

NARRATIVE:       Victim’s spouse reported finding her husband in his vehicle with blood all over him and self inflicted wounds to his wrist. Subject was transported to Anne Arundel County Medical Center for treatment.

VICTIM:                Barbara Lee of  Greensboro

 

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported that she was attending a party and had set her purse on the floor near a chair that was seated in. A short time later she noticed that her wallet was missing from the purse. She asked persons at the location and no one was aware of the item. The wallet contained numerous credit & bank cards, $20 in currency and assorted identification cards.

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported finding her blue 2008 Mazda Tribute had been “Keyed” with a scratch across the doors. The note was left on her windshield  “Screw you – Merry Christmas”. Damage was estimated at $800.

LOCATION:        Church Circle, Sudlersville

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported that while in Church, an unknown person had taken her Tom Tom GPS Unit from the center console of her unlocked Honda Accord. The GPS was valued at $150.
