INCIDENT: Medical Emergency
DATE / TIME: 04/22/2013 @ 2022 Hours
LOCATION: Main Street @ Evans Avenue, Grasonville
VICTIM: Female (41) of Grasonville
NARRATIVE: Responded to area for a report of an angry female throwing rocks at passing cars. On arrival it was determined that the woman had behavioral issues and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT: DWI
DATE / TIME: 04/22/2013 @ 2221 Hours
LOCATION: Chester River Beach Road, Grasonville
ARREST: Douglas Stewart Egolf (45) of Queenstown
CHARGE: DWI, Resisting Arrest
NARRATIVE: Deputy attempted to stop a Jeep Liberty for speeding on Chester River Road. The vehicle continued on until stopping in a driveway on Main street and contact was made with the driver, identified as Douglas Egolf. Detecting a strong odor of alcohol and other indicators, the deputy inquired if he had been drinking and Mr. Egolf denied it. When asked to exit his vehicle, Mr. Egolf refused and began to reach under the seats and into the center console. Continuing to refuse to exit, the passenger window was broken and the driver removed from the vehicle after a brief struggle. Mr. Egolf was charged with DWI, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest.
After processing at the Sheriff’s Office, a District Court Commissioner released Mr. Egolf on his personal recognizance.

INCIDENT: Driving without a License
DATE / TIME: 04/23/2013 @ 0228 Hours
LOCATION: RT 404 near Pinder Road, Queen Anne
ARREST: Juan Isidoro (21) Manassas, VA
CHARGE: Driving without a License
NARRATIVE: Nissan Maxima stopped for speeding on RT 404 with the driver being identified as Juan Isidoro. Driver was able to provide a valid registration for the car, but then advised he did not have a license to drive. A check with area states confirmed his admission and he was placed under arrest. None of the passengers had a valid license and they opted to remain with the car and had called relatives to come to their location.
Mr. Isidoro was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing and was later released.

INCIDENT: Theft

LOCATION: 1000 Block of Duhamel Corner Road, Sudlersville
VICTIM: John L. Lofland of Sudlersville
NARRATIVE: Victim reported that three vehicle rims were missing from his front yard. Two were described as aluminum slot rims with the third being a steel chrome rim. The value was estimated at $300.

INCIDENT: Domestic assault
DATE / TIME: 04/23/2013 @ 2121 Hours
LOCATION: 400 Block of Lime Landing Road, Millington
VICTIM: Sooklal Alston of Millington
ARREST: Stephanie Lynn Alston (29) of Millington
CHARGE: Assault
NARRATIVE: Deputy dispatched to residence for a reported domestic in progress. On arrival it was determined that following an argument, the female was leaving the residence for the night. As she was leaving, she began to remove family pictures. When the victim grabbed the pictures, the female kicked him on the shin causing a minor injury.
Stephanie Alston was placed under arrest, processed at Sheriff’s Headquarters, and later released on her personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

LOCATION: Concord Road, Chestertown, MD
VICTIM: Gecko Realty Inc., Hunt Valley, MD
NARRATIVE: Real Estate company reported that two air conditioning units were missing from a vacant house on Concord Road. The units were taken prior to April 18th and had the value of $4,000.

LOCATION: 1132 Shopping Center Road, Chester
VICTIM: Pizza Hut
NARRATIVE: Manager reported that $100 in change was missing from the business. Further inspection showed a forced entry to the business had occurred during the night.

INCIDENT: DWI
DATE / TIME: 04/26/2013 @ 2119 Hours
LOCATION: Main Street near Coursey Road, Grasonville
ARREST: Joseph Lawrence Heiser of Grasonville
CHARGE: DWI – Resisting Arrest
NARRATIVE: After a white pickup failed to lower its high beams, the truck was stopped at a residence on Coursey Road. The driver was identified as Joseph Heiser who had a strong odor of alcohol about him. With additional indicators present, Mr. Heiser was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks, after which he was advised he was under arrest. While being handcuffed, Mr. Heiser began to resist and was forcibly cuffed.
After processing at the Sheriff’s Office, a District Court Commissioner released him on his personal recognizance.

INCIDENT: Assault
DATE / TIME: 04/27/2013 @ 0215 Hours
LOCATION: 201 Romancoke Road, Stevensville
VICTIM: John Edward Hiss of Kent Island Sedan Services
NARRATIVE: Victim reported he had responded to Big Bat’s Bar / Grill to pick up a group of subjects in need of a ride to Penny Lane near Romancoke. A group of six intoxicated subjects were being transported and asked to stop at the Valero Gas Station on RT 8. At the store, four subjects exited the van, with a white female and African-American male remaining in the van. With additional fares waiting, the victim asked the subjects to hurry up. At that time one of the subjects became hostile and attempted to open the driver’s door. When unable, he opened a sliding door on the driver’s side and punched the victim in the head several times.
The four subjects then fled the location on foot. The two remaining passengers left the driver $10 each and then also fled the location. When the victim attempted to call in, he discovered his I-phone to be missing.
A search of the area resulted in locating two of the subjects at a gas station on Thompson Creek road and following interviews, a possible name of the suspect was provided. Case remains open and under investigation.

NARRATIVE: Citizen walking her dog reported seeing two mailboxes in the marsh on Chenowith Drive, in Bay City. The mailboxes can be claimed by calling the Sheriff’s Office at (410) 758-0770.
