INCIDENT:          Assault

VICTIM:              Grace Bennett of Stevensville

ARREST:              Theodore William Lee (18) of Chester

CHARGE:            Assault

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported having an argument with the suspect while staying together at Chesapeake Motel. During the argument the victim stated Lee had grabbed her, choked her and struck her in the face causing bruising and visible red marks.

 

A warrant was issued the following day for Lee’s arrest. When deputies went to arrest him, Lee exited the house using a 2nd floor window. After a lengthy search assisted by MSP and a K9 Unit,  Lee was taken into custody.

LOCATION:         107 Dominion Road, Chester

VICTIM:              Mohammed Abushi of Chester

CHARGED:          Ahmed Eddaj of Chester

CHARGE:            Theft & Theft Scheme

 

NARRATIVE:       Mr. Abushi, owner of the 7/11 store in Chester advised an employee had been stealing cash from the store for several months up to an estimated $3000. The employee, Ahmed Eddaj had given the store owner a written admission to stealing the money along with a promise to pay him back. Eddaj was living in an apartment in the Chester area but has since moved with no forwarding address. He has numerous prior addresses in NY and Florida.

 

An Arrest Warrant was issued on 5/14/2014 charging Eddaj with Theft between $1000 & $10,000 and Theft Scheme. Eddaj is listed at 5’2” and 150 pounds. Anyone knowing the possible location of Ahmed Eddaj is asked to call the QA Sheriff’s Office at (410) 758-0770.

INCIDENT:          Resisting Arrest – Failure to obey Lawful Order

DATE / TIME:     05/12/2014 @ 0241 Hours

LOCATION:         Royal Farms Store @ 213 & 544, Chestertown (QA)

 

ARREST:              Mark Shane Elburn (23) of Rock Hall, MD

CHARGE:            Resisting Arrest – Failure to obey Lawful Order

 

NARRATIVE:       Sgt. Johnston was advised of two subjects fighting behind the Royal Farms Store on RT 213. Johnston located two males later identified as Mark Elburn and David W. Porter standing face to face. The two were separated, and while Porter cooperated, Elburn refused to show his hands, then put them in his pocket and then continued to advance towards Sgt. Johnston. Elburn continued moving and was forced to the ground where he continued to resist. Chestertown Police arrived and assisted taking him into custody. Elburn was later released on a $1500 bond.

NARRATIVE:         Victim advised that in the morning he found his work truck with the door open and several tools missing. A Dewalt impact driver and a Dewalt sawzall had been taken. The items were valued at $350. No damage to the truck as it was unlocked.

NARRATIVE:         Owner of Annapolis Boat Sales reported a former employee had purchased a Garmin Fish Finder at West Marine earlier in the day on the business account. An employee at West Marine confirmed the sale to Brandon Gardner whom he thought still worked for Annapolis Boat Sales.

 

A check of pawn records showed that Gardner had also recently pawned a Garmin GPS and that it was the property of Annapolis Boat Sales.

 

An Arrest Warrant has been issued on 5/21 charging Brandon T. Gardner with several counts of Theft & Theft Scheme. At this time the warrant is still active.

NARRATIVE:         The two neighbors reported that on 5/10 and then 5/11 they were missing a combined estimate of $90 gasoline from their vehicles, taken during the night.

NARRATIVE:         Owner of the Salon reported discovering a door open and that the cash register had been tampered with. A small amount of cash was reported missing. Investigation was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit.

CHARGE:              Violation of Probation

 

NARRATIVE:         Family member contacted the Sheriff’s Office and advised one of the current “Most Wanted” persons was at the residence on Teal Court. Dfc. Kellogg responded and was able to take her into custody on the Bench Warrant. She was also reported to be in possession of a “Kit” containing a syringe, suspected suboxone strip, suspected heroin and a burnt filter. CDS items were sent to the MSP Lab for testing with additional charges pending.

LOCATION:           RT 8 near Davidson Drive, Stevensville

ARREST: Brandon David Smith (21) of Severn, MD

CHARGE:              Possession of CDS (Marijuana)

 

NARRATIVE:         A black Toyota was stopped for traffic offenses and the driver was identified as Brandon Smith of Severn. During the stop, a K9 scan was done with a positive alert. Smith told the deputy that there was an ounce of marijuana in the passenger door pocket that was his. The baggie was located and seized with Smith being placed under arrest for possession. He was later released by a District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance. A passenger in the vehicle was not charged.

DATE / TIME:       05/15/2014 @ 1722 Hours

LOCATION:           Stevensville

VICTIM:  Juvenile (early teens) of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:         Juvenile had been playing online games with a friend in California and informed the friend about being depressed and wanting to overdose on pills. The friend in California reported the info to his school resource officer at his school, who in turned called QA Dispatch which sent a deputy to the residence. Result was the parent being notified and the juvenile was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for assistance.

TRAFFIC ARREST

 

5/11/2014 @ 0239 Hours            Dfc. Harris attempted to stop a red truck for an equipment violation on Dominion Road Chester. The pickup sped up, pulled into a driveway and the driver fled leaving the door open and radio playing. The driver was identified as the owner, William Jennings Baxter Jr. (29) of Chester and was located at the residence. Based on field sobriety tasks, Baxter was arrested for DWI. He was later released to a family member’s friend.  Case 14-15095
