INCIDENT: Motor Vehicle Collision with injury
DATE / TIME: 06/12/18 at 9:47 PM
LOCATION: Thompson Creek Rd near Thompson Creek Service Rd., Stevensville, Md.
DETAILS: Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the pedestrian who was identified as Shawn Mahon (33yo, last known address in Windsor, Md.). Mahon suffered injuries from being struck by a gold colored Toyota SUV. The SUV was driven by Christen Jeter (41yo, of Stevensville), who remained on the scene. The investigation showed that Mahon had been on break from his job at a nearby business. He walked home across Rt. 50. While walking back across Rt. 50, on his way back to work, he was struck crossing Thompson Creek Rd. He was not in a pedestrian crosswalk and he had worn dark clothing. Mahon was transported to the KI airport where he was airlifted to Shock Trauma for treatment. The investigation revealed at this point that the operator of the striking vehicle was not at fault and will not be charged.
