PRESS RELEASE

INCIDENT: Driving while suspended/ Illegal Drugs/ Underage use of Alcohol
DATE / TIME: 07/10/2018 at approximately 2:13 am
LOCATION: Route 50 Westbound at Route 8 in Stevensville, MD
ARRESTED: Carmen Gilmore, 20yo female from Nottingham, MD (Driving while suspended)
Juwan Coffey, 18yo male from Parkville, MD (Marijuana)
16yo juvenile male from Baltimore, MD (Marijuana)
Maurice Webster, 19yo male from Rosendale, MD (Alcohol)
DETAILS: While traveling westbound on Route 50, Deputy Bradley observed a black Toyota Sedan traveling 78 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. Deputy Bradley conducted a traffic stop on the Sedan and identified the driver as Carmen Gilmore. A check through the Motor Vehicle Administration was conducted to verify Gilmore’s license. The check revealed that Gilmore’s license was suspended through Delaware. During his interaction with the driver, Deputy Bradley detected an odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. As a result of that odor, a search was conducted on the vehicle. Incident to the search, deputies located Marijuana and alcohol in the vehicle. The marijuana was claimed by a male juvenile, and the alcohol was claimed by another passenger who was under the age of 21. Several citations were issued. All occupants were later released from the scene.

INCIDENT: Motor Vehicle Collison
DATE / TIME: 07/09/2018 at approximately 1:07 pm
LOCATION: Love Point Road at Larch Place in Stevensville, MD
DRIVERS: F-250 operated by Zachary Holden, 19yo male from Stevensville, MD
Nissan operated by Tania Pappas, 50yo female from Centreville, MD
DETAILS: Deputy First Class Goodman investigated a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the above address. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1997 Ford F-250 was stopped at the intersection of Larch place and Love Point road. A 2016 Nissan Altima was traveling north on Love Point road when the Ford F-250 merged from Larch Place onto Love Point Road in the path of the 2016 Nissan. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
