INCIDENT: Theft

LOCATION: 200 Block of Church Street, Sudlersville, MD
VICTIM: Amy J. Stubbs of Sudlersville

CHARGE: Theft
NARRATIVE: Victim reported that numerous pieces of jewelry and a video camera were missing from her residence. Estimated value of the stolen items was over $5000. Victim also advised she had allowed a family member to stay with her but had recently told the family member to leave after seeing him using illegal drugs.
A search of the Pawn Records in the area showed that the family member had recently pawned jewelry and a video camera at several pawn & jewelry locations on Kent Island. Detectives and the victim recovered the items on June 25th.
Charges are pending for the theft of the items at the residence and theft from the various businesses.

INCIDENT: Assault

LOCATION: 2800 Block of Cox Neck Road, Chester
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence for an assault in progress. On arrival deputies learned that an argument between a 16 year old male and younger sister had occurred, and an older sibling (23) intervened and the argument escalated into items being thrown and physical assault. The siblings were separated by other occupants in the house. Neither subject had apparent injuries and both were advised of the procedure to apply for charges if desired. To date no charges have been filed.

LOCATION: 100 Block of Somerset Road, Stevensville
VICTIM: Richard & Shannon Hendricks of Stevensville
ARREST: Walter R. Wright Jr.
CHARGE: Burglary / Theft / Assault
NARRATIVE: Victims came home at 2200 hours and discovered the rear door to the residence had been forced open and called 911. Prior to arrival, the property owner Walter Wright walked into the residence and took a set of keys. When Wright walked outside, Ms. Hendricks went outside and took the keys back and returned to the house locking the door behind her. Victim states that Mr. Wright then walked into the house thru the broken back door and attempted to grab her. Victim fled to a bedroom and locked herself in until Deputies arrived.
Victim states that she and her husband have given notice of moving by August 1st, however Mr. Wright wants to have them moved sooner. Deputies located Mr. Wright short time later walking past the residence and placed him under arrest. After processing, he was held on a $7500 bond by a District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE: Victim advised he returned home from a trip and discovered lights on and a door ajar. Further check of the residence showed rooms that had been ransacked and several items missing. Some of the stolen items were a bag of new Nautica clothing, a water bottle of change, a whole foods black backpack, cigars and prescription medication. Items were valued at $1100.

NARRATIVE: Manager at the location, Michael Bowen reported that two African American males with a red Ford Ranger truck with a black landscape type trailer and a thin white female with long blonde hair in a red passenger car possibly a Chevy Malibu had entered the storage lot and broke into several storage units. An employee stated the suspects left going west on Route 50.
Upon checking the storage units it was determined 32 units had been forcibly entered. Due to the multiple victims, it remains unknown what items were taken.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported she discovered a lot of jewelry missing from her residence. Suspecting a family member, the victim contacted a pawn shop on Kent Island and was able to locate much of her missing items and was able to determine that the family member had taken and pawned the jewelry. On 6/25 the victim notified the Sheriff’s Office. Items taken were estimated at $2450.

NARRATIVE: Store manager Angela O’Day reported that upon noticing that three women’s Gucci watches were missing from the display case she reviewed the security camera. At 1331 Hours she saw two African American males in their twenties at the display case. One appeared to be a “lookout” while the other leaned on the case, opened it and removed the three watches. The watches were described as a Gucci Diamond Watch valued at $4000, and two Gucci Croc Band watches with diamonds valued at 3209 each. Total loss was $10,418.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that unknown persons had taken her Garmin Depth Finder, Seawatch CD Player and Cobra Marine Radio from boat parked in her driveway. In addition the thief(s) had damaged her Raython Fish Plot Chart and two Seawatch Speakers. The theft loss was estimated at $950 and damage was at $1300.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were in the area of the K Mart when they were advised by a shopper that Store Security was inside with two females attempting to apprehend a shoplifter. The deputies went inside and located security who had detained a 19 year old female for suspicion of shoplifting. The second female was the mother of the suspect.
Security advised they had observed the suspect placing unpaid clothing items in a large handbag and stopped her past the point of sale. A search of the bag resulted in the recovery of nine unpaid clothing items valued at $138.
Suspect was released at the scene with charges pending.

CHARGE: Trespass – Possession of CDS (Marijuana)
NARRATIVE: Campus Security Guard Bobby Walters reported seeing a non-student female parked in a parking lot cleaning her car out. Walters made contact with the female and she was advised she wasn’t allowed on campus and to leave and not to return. About twenty minutes later, the same car was located in a different parking area unattended and Security Guard Walters called the Sheriff’s Office.
As Security was about to have the vehicle towed, the interior was checked and an electronic scale and a suspected marijuana cigarette was located and seized. A short time later the suspect returned to the car exiting from one of the school buildings. She stated she was checking out the school and was using a computer to do some homework. Suspect was again advised to leave the campus. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported meeting a male subject at the Dixon sale and invited him to his residence for dinner. The male gave his name as Brian Bailey. While Vansant was cooking dinner, the Bailey subject pulled his car into the driveway. At some point Vansant saw his hunting backpack and binoculars in the front yard, and realized his Bow and Telescope was missing. When he stated he was calling the police, the Bailey suspect jumped into his car and left. Suspect was driving a light blue Honda and may live in the Cape Saint Clair area. The missing items were valued at $700.

ARREST: Timothy James Foreman (26) of Centreville
CHARGE: MDOP (2 Counts)
NARRATIVE: Victim reported that someone had thrown a chair of a balcony at the hotel and had damaged the hood and roof of his 2008 GMC Envoy. With the assistance of a Hotel employee the possible room was determined to be #318. Contact was made with the occupants of the room, (2) males & (2) females. A couple of the occupants advised that one of the males, Timothy Foreman had thrown a beer can and a chair over the balcony. Foreman was placed under arrest and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. He was later released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner. Damage to the GMC was estimated at $650.
