INCIDENT: Malicious Destruction of Property (MDOP)
DATE / TIME: 8/15/18 at approximately 7:56 pm
LOCATION: 100 Block of Justin Buch Drive in Chestertown, MD
VICTIM: 60yo female from Chestertown, MD
DETAILS: Deputy Custis responded to the above address in reference to a malicious destruction of property. While talking with the victim, Deputy Custis learned that the victim’s car window was damaged. The victim advised that she had been cutting grass earlier in the evening on August 15th. When she finished at 7:45 pm, she walked past her vehicle and noticed the rear window of her 2016 KIA Soul had a hole in it. Deputy Custis searched the interior of the vehicle and did not locate any type of object that could have caused the damage. INCIDENT: Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS)
DATE / TIME: 8/18/18 at approximately 7:24 pm
LOCATION: Route 18 and Chester River Beach Road in Grasonville, MD
DRIVER: Randy Thomas, 23yo male from Stevensville, MD
PASSENGER: Haley Hildebrand, 25yo female from Chester, MD
DETAILS: While in the area of Route 18 at Chester River Beach Road, Corporal Martz observed a gray Chrysler 300 driving above the posted speed limit. Corporal Martz conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Randy Thomas. While observing Thomas’s license, Corporal Martz detected an odor of marijuana coming from the license. Corporal Martz asked Thomas about the odor of Marijuana coming from the license. Thomas advised that there had been marijuana in the glove box of the vehicle. The driver and the passenger, identified as Haley Hildebrand, were asked to exit the vehicle based on probable cause. A search of the vehicle yielded negative results. Both Thomas and Hildebrand were also searched. Thomas did not have any dangerous controlled substances on his person. However, Hildebrand had two marijuana cigarettes and a multicolored rubber case that contained marijuana in a form of wax in her purse. Thomas and Hildebrand were both issued a civil citation for the possession of marijuana. The controlled dangerous substances were confiscated.

INCIDENT: Theft
DATE / TIME: 8/18/2018 at approximately 7:27 pm
LOCATION: Senior apartment complex, 200 Terrapin Grove, Stevensville, MD
VICTIM: 81yo female from Stevensville, MD
DETAILS: Deputy Thomas responded to the above location in reference to a theft. The victim stated that her apartment had been cleaned on July 19th. The victim said she noticed $70 missing from her purse two days later. The victim advised on August 18th, she noticed jewelry missing from her husband’s jewelry box. INCIDENT: Malicious Destruction of Property (MDOP)

LOCATION: 200 Block of Whittington Lane in Grasonville, MD
VICTIM: 53yo female from Grasonville, MD
DETAILS: Deputy Bradley responded to the above address in reference to a malicious destruction of property. While talking with the victim, Deputy Bradley learned that the victim’s door knob was damaged. The victim advised that, when she came back from shopping on August 18th, she attempted to enter in her residence and noticed that her doorknob was bent downward with a dent on the top of the doorknob. INCIDENT: Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS)
DATE / TIME: 8/18/18 at approximately 9:02 am
LOCATION: Park and Ride in Stevensville, MD
ARRESTED: Rickey Ford II, 25yo male from Easton, MD
Derrick Cooper, 27yo male from Cordova, MD
DETAILS: While conducting a patrol check at the Park and Ride in Stevensville, Deputy Bush observed a 2009 white KIA vehicle engaging in what appeared to be suspicious activity. As the two occupants exited their vehicle, Deputy Bush noticed one of the occupants, identified as Derrick Cooper, drop a short glass tube and two clear plastic capsules from his left hand. The items fell to the ground near Cooper’s feet. Deputy Bush made contact with both occupants. Based on his observation of the suspected controlled dangerous substances on the ground, Deputy Bush conducted a search on both occupants. A folded napkin containing suspected heroin capsules were found in Cooper’s left pants pocket. The second occupant was identified as Ricky Ford II. The search of Ford yielded negative results. A registration check through the Maryland Vehicle Administration revealed that Ford was the owner of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, Deputy Bush located:
• Two clear plastic capsules containing suspected heroin
• One needle and syringe containing suspected heroin
• One metal spoon containing suspected heroin
• One glass smoking device
• Benadryl pills
• A brown leather belt
Both Cooper and Ford were placed under arrest and transported to the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff for processing and booking. Both defendants are currently being held at the department of corrections on bond. Deputy Bush submitted the suspected dangerous and controlled substances to the evidence unit.

INCIDENT: Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS)/ Warrant arrest
DATE / TIME: 8/19/18 at approximately 1:26 pm
LOCATION: Route 300 at Norwood Drive in Sudlersville, MD
DRIVER: Martin Wiseman II, 24yo male from Bowie, MD
PASSENGER: Jason Zeigler, 21yo male from Bowie, MD
DETAILS: While in the area of Route 300 at Norwood Drive, Deputy First Class (DFC) Pack observed a 2014 Range Rover Evoque driving above the posted speed limit. DFC Pack conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Martin Wiseman II. While speaking with Wiseman, DFC Pack detected an odor of marijuana. The passenger was identified as Jason Zeigler. Zeigler advised that he had a black bottle containing marijuana. Both individuals were asked to exit the vehicle. During his search, DFC pack located the black bottle containing marijuana in the passenger compartment. During his investigation, DFC Pack learned that Zeigler had an active warrant for failing to appear in court through PG County. Zeigler was issued a civil citation for the possession and placed under arrest for the active warrant. Wiseman was issued a warning for driving above the speed limit. The marijuana was seized and placed into evidence.
