INCIDENT: Lost Property

LOCATION: 200 Block of Evelyne Street, Chester, Md.
COMPLAINANT / VICTIM: Matthew Maguire, 50 yr. old white male from Chester, Md.
DETAILS: Complainant advised that while at the restaurant, El Jefe the night before, two sets of vehicle keys went missing. One of the missing keys is a key fob for a Range Rover (2007 white SUV, bearing Md. Tag 288M352), and the other is a key for a Lexus (2007 black 4 door passenger car, bearing Md. Tag 2FTG80). Due to the fact that one of the missing items is a key fob, the total estimated value is approximately $300. It is not clear if the keys were sat down and left accidentally, or if someone took the keys out of a purse belonging to the complainant’s wife. Deputies were not able to access any surveillance footage at the restaurant at the time of the call. Case investigation is ongoing.

COMPLAINANT / VICTIM: Michael Lyons, 30 yr. old white male, from Stevensville, Md.
DETAILS: The complainant was evacuated from his home on 7/24/17 as a result of the tornado. On 08/08/17, the victim returned to the address to remove the majority of his property and discovered that his Rolex watch was missing. He believes he left the watch on the nightstand next to his bed the night of the tornado. According to the victim, numerous people have been in and out of the address as a result of the damage and he has no suspect information. Description of watch: Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Dark Rhodium, Stainless Steel, Serial #: 4ME73367, Model: 114300, Value: $5,400.00

INCIDENT: Illegal Possession of Handgun
DATE AND TIME REPORTED: 8/21/17 0039 hrs
LOCATION: Rt. 301 @ Cherry Ln
NARRATIVE: Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violation. After speaking with driver, it was learned that a 40 caliber Taurus handgun was located in the center console. Driver exited the vehicle and handgun was located. Further investigation revealed that the driver was not allowed to possess any firearms due to a valid protective order. Driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. While at HQ, an additional search of the driver resulted in CDS – white powdery substance being found. The handgun was seized and the CDS will be sent to the lab for identification. Charges for the CDS are pending lab results. Driver was brought before a district court commissioner and released on $25,000.00 unsecured bond.

INCIDENT: DUI

LOCATION: El Jefe Mexican Restaurant @ 1235 Shopping Center Rd Chester, MD 21619
NARRATIVE: Deputy responded to the area for a report of possible overdose. Caller stated a male was passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot with the engine running. Deputy made contact with the driver and determined she was intoxicated. The deputy attempted to put the driver through a series of sobriety tests, but was unable due to high level of impairment. Other indicators and observations led to the driver being arrested for DUI. It was also learned the driver’s license was suspended. Driver was issued several citations and was later released to a sober adult.

DETAILS: QACSO units responded for a suspicious circumstances call. The owner of the property, Spencer Wilder Jr, had called due to an open door at this vacant residence. Upon the deputies’ arrival, the front door was found open so a search of the home was conducted, with no suspect(s) located. INCIDENT: Suspicious Circumstances

DETAILS: QACSO unit responded for a police info/suspicious circumstances call. Upon arrival, contact was made with the caller, Sylvia Christian, who advised that she had received info regarding a suspicious person. Apparently, on 8/19/17 at approx. 4:30AM and unknown person was driving on Rt. 213 and noticed a vehicle parked at the front stand to the business. The witness further added that a subject had run out from behind the stand with a flashlight and abruptly jumped into a silver or tan passenger car and sped off.
