INCIDENT:  Traffic Arrest and Possession of CDS (Marijuana)       

DATE / TIME:  8/28/17 at 1542 hrs.

LOCATION: 300 Blk of Dixon Tavern      

ARRESTED:  Hernandez-Tovar, Miguel A., 21 YOA from Marydel, MD  

DETAILS:  Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Toyota Scion for speeding.  After conducting a traffic stop he detected a strong odor of suspected marijuana.  The driver also failed to provide the deputy with a valid driver’s license and the deputy was unable to verify his identify.  Investigation revealed the driver was not licensed.  After the driver was removed from the vehicle suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were located in car.  A passenger by the name of James E. Edwards Jr. 18 YOA admitted to ownership of the property and will be cited at a later date.  The driver was transported to the QACSO and later transported to the District Court Commissioner where he was released on an unsecured bond.
