PRESS RELEASE

 

INCIDENT:        CDS Possession under 10 grams 

DATE / TIME:   September 5, 2017  7:11a.m.

LOCATION:      Route 301 @ Cherry Lane Queenstown, MD

VICTIM:            State of Maryland

DETAILS:           Erik Titz 39 y.o. male from Centreville, MD was operating a 2004 ford explorer in the area of Rt. 301 & Cherry Lane when Dfc. Martz discovered the tags to the vehicle were expired several months prior.  Dfc. Martz stopped the vehicle for the traffic violation and when asked if there was anything in the vehicle he should know about, Titz retrieved a small amount of marijuana from the center console of the vehicle.  Titz was charged on a civil citation for Possession of Marijuana under 10 grams and released from the scene.

INCIDENT:        Malicious Destruction of Property 

DATE / TIME:    September 4, 2017 2:00p.m. 

LOCATION:      Grasonville Volunteer Fire House @ 4128 Main Street Grasonville, MD 21638

DETAILS:           Deputies responded to the Grasonville Fire Company in regards to a reported Malicious Destruction of Property.  On the above date at approximately 06:30a.m. a silver convertible Camaro drove to the rear of the fire station and proceeded to do doughnuts in the grass in the rear of the building causing damage to the grass and left the scene.

INCIDENT:        Theft

DATE / TIME :  September 5, 2017  7:53a.m.

LOCATION:      3900 block of Main Street, Grasonville, MD

VICTIM:            66 Year old White male from Grasonville, MD

DETAILS:           Deputies responded to 3900 block Main Street Grasonville, MD in regards to a theft.  The victim reported that his Stihl weed trimmer and leaf blower were stolen from his trailer sometime over the previous night.  The value of the items were estimated at a total of $600.00.

LOCATION:     200 Block of Mallard Cove Lane, Stevensville, Md.       

VICTIM:            Sixty-three year old, white, female, Stevensville, Md.

DETAILS:                          Victim advised someone had stolen twelve prescribed Valium pills valued at $36 from her residence.  Victim did not know who stole the prescription pills but did provide leads to a possible suspect.  This case is being actively investigated by Deputy Sackrider.
