INCIDENT: Armed Robbery
DATE / TIME: 07/12/2018 at approximately 3:50 am
LOCATION: 100 Block of Pullman Crossing Road, Grasonville, MD 21638
DETAILS: On July 12, 2018, at approximately 3:50 a.m., units were dispatched to the 7-11 convenience store located on Pullman’s Crossing in Grasonville, MD. The call was in reference to an armed robbery complaint. The preliminary investigation revealed that two unidentified black males entered the store. The males were armed and held the clerk at gunpoint. The suspects pointed a gun at the clerk and ordered the clerk to the store’s office. During that time the suspects attempted to bind the clerk’s hands.
The investigation also revealed that the armed suspects assaulted the clerk by striking the clerk in the head. EMS units were later dispatched to examine any possible injuries to the clerk that he may have sustained. It was further reported that two civilians entered the store while the suspects were tying the clerk’s hands. The suspects also confronted the two civilians at gunpoint while attempting to flee. However, no injuries to the civilians have been reported at this time.
Both suspects are reported to have been operating a black truck and are currently at large. Patrol units from Maryland State Police and Maryland Transportation Authority were also there to assist. The Office of the Sheriff has placed a directed patrol for deputies to increase the police presence in and around these businesses during the evening hours. “Keeping the residents of Queen Anne’s County safe is our number one priority. We will expand police presence in order to deter any future robberies, and potentially develop leads that may solve past robberies. We will work tirelessly to apprehend those responsible and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.” added Sheriff Gary Hofmann
