QUADTF along with the assistance from Centreville PD, MSP Centreville and the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in QA Co.  The first phase of the operation entailed a traffic stop of the suspect in the Stevensville area of QA Co as the search warrant covered the search of the suspect and his vehicle.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the following seizure and arrest of two suspects.

 449.9 grams of marijuana & $31.00 as well as the suspect’s (Sam Blackwell) 95 Lincoln Continental

Sam Herbert Blackwell

Ronald Wayne Smith
AA/M, DOB:  05-23-55
417 S. Commerce St., Centreville, MD

From there a search of the home belonging to Sam Blackwell was conducted based on the search warrant at 107 Holton Street in Centreville.  This was a knock and announce search warrant.  Due to the occupants not coming to the door upon knocking and recent information that there was a loaded handgun in the residence a forced entry was made without incident.  Upon entry the two occupants inside of the residence were located and secured.  The following was located and seized from the residence:

9.7 grams of marijuana, a loaded .38 caliber revolver, packaging material and a digital scale

This investigation was a result of the Centreville PD working closely with the Task Force developing information on the suspect Blackwell, CI information and citizen complaints.  Blackwell is a U.S. citizen, has no known gang affiliation and has prior arrests for Possession Not-marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Armed robbery, Assualt with intent to murder, conspiracy, child abuse, battery, MDOP and Distribution of CDS. Smith is a U.S. citizen, has no known gang affiliation and has prior arrests for credit card steal, theft under, Possession Not-Marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Armed robbery, Assaullt 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Robbery Deadly Weapon, Reckless Endangerment, theft over and Forgery.  Blackwell and Smith were charged with the following:
