NARRATIVE: Victim reported parking her father’s 1996 Audi in the Food Lion Parking lot at about 1530 hours. Upon returning top the car just after midnight she saw that someone had intentionally scratched a derogatory word into the rear passenger door causing estimated $1000 damage. Investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location after a female threatened to harm herself after not being able to get an immediate appointment. The woman repeated the threat to harm herself to deputies when interviewed. She was then transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis for treatment.

INCIDENT: Armed Robbery

LOCATION: 1900 Block of Main Street, Chester, MD
VICTIM: Stephen L. Cole Jr. of Chester
NARRATIVE: It was reported by Tiffany Cole that she and her brother Stephen were in a vehicle parked in the Safeway Store parking lot when three masked men opened her door and threatened to stab her unless she gave them what they wanted. Ms. Cole also reported that one suspect punched her brother in the face and then took his wallet. The subjects then fled the location in a vehicle driven by a female. Stephen Cole advised that his wallet contained $400 however he did not want any police action taken and refused to cooperate further.
The suspected female driver of the suspects’ vehicle later showed up to the Sheriff’s Office with her mother reporting that Ms Cole had been harassing her by phone and making threats of harming her. Investigation of the incident remains open.

NARRATIVE: Mr. Berrang reported that sometime between 12/23 @ 5 PM and 12/29 someone had broke the window of a car parked on his lot and broke the ignition in an attempt to pop the system. The car a 2001 Porsche Boxer, had been sold and was to be picked up by the new owner is valued at $30K and sustained an estimated $2000 damage. Investigation continues.

CHARGE: Burglary & Theft
NARRATIVE: The victim advised he was checking his new security system and observed a man enter his locked shop, walking thru the garage area taking a screw driver and then seen taking $200 cash from an undisclosed location. The incident occurred on Saturday morning December 17th when the shop was closed and that the man was an acquaintance named George Dement.
On 12/30 Deputy Miller applied for charges on Dement which were issued and served on December 31st. The charges were served on Dement at the QA Detention Center where he was being held on unrelated charges. Bail was set at $25,000 by a District Court Commissioner.
The unrelated charges Dement was being held on were reference Sheriff’s Office Case11-41097. Dement has been charged for allegedly stealing a credit card from the residence of Matthew D. Pirone after being hired to do work at the residence. The victim identified security photos as “Eddie the Painter” also known as George Edward Dement. Forty-two (42) charges of Theft and Credit Card theft were issued after Dement used the card numerous times at the Stevensville K-Mart between 12/19 to 12/21. Bail in this case was set at $30,000.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that his credit card had been stolen from his residence after he had workers in the house repairing and painting a bathroom on 12/19. At first he thought he had misplaced the card however on 12/21 he was contacted by his bank after $4, 622. had been charged. Two of the locations the card had been used was at High’s in Chester and at K-Mart. Video footage showed that on 12/19 four separate purchases totaling $1064 within 2 hours and again on 12/20 five additional purchases during the day totaling $2014.
The victim reviewed the security video and identified as Eddie the Painter who had been working at his house. Eddie the Painter was identified as George Edward Dement of Stevensville. Deputy Miller applied for charges against Dement and an Arrest Warrant was issued charging him with Theft.
The victim also advised that the credit card had been used multiple times at Home Deport and Bed Bath & Beyond stores in Annapolis.

Several possible prints were lifted from items in the purse and the investigation remains open.

NARRATIVE: Deputies were called to residence reference to a domestic assault. Investigation indicated that an argument had occurred between the two over the condition of the house. During the argument, the defendant allegedly slapped Wagner’s face, threw food and a cat bowl at him, and then bit him on the side of his face. Auth was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

INCIDENT: Underage Possession of Alcohol

NARRATIVE: Deputy Bassaro responded to the residence after the home owners reported finding underage persons with alcohol in their living room. The home Owners advised that their child was allowed to have several persons over to watch television while they watched a movie in their room. At about 2230 hours they discovered their living room was full of kids and that some were intoxicated. Upon seeing the adults numerous kids fled the scene.
The homeowner’s child advised a few friends had been invited but soon additional persons showed up, some with alcohol. Of the remaining kids at the house, two females appeared to be intoxicated. Both had a strong odor of alcohol and had vomited on themselves and the carpet. The remaining visitors were later released to their parents. The two intoxicated girls were issued Civil Citations.
