INCIDENT: Found Property

DATE/TIME: 11/28/2011 @ 1118 Hours

LOCATION: 400 Block of Love Point Road and Kent Island High School, Stevensville

VICTIM: Unknown

NARRATIVE: Sheriff’s Office was notified of a bicycle being left for several days at that location on Love Point Road… Deputy Miller responded and met with the complainant. He then recovered the bike and later stored it at the Sheriff’s Office. A second bicycle was recovered at the Kent Island High School which had been left at the school.

Anyone missing a green bike or a male’s bicycle can call the Sheriff’s Office at (410) 758-0770 and further identify the bikes.

INCIDENT: 911 Call / Medical Emergency

DATE/TIME: 11/29/2011 @ 1457 Hours

LOCATION: South Carolina Road, Stevensville

VICTIM: Male (51) of Stevensville:

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to location after a 911 call was received and during the call the caller stopped communicating with the dispatcher. Deputies made entry to the residence thru unlocked doors and located the male subject face down on a mattress. The subject was intoxicated and believed to have taken prescription medication. He was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

DATE/TIME: 11/29/2011 @ 1948 Hours

LOCATION: Chesapeake Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM: Male (47) of Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Deputies were dispatched to location after a 911 call was received reporting the subject with a gun to his head. Prior to arrival, a friend was able to have the subject relinquish the gun. Due to the subject demeanor he was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment. Several additional firearms at the residence were seized.

INCIDENT: Theft from Vehicle

DATE/TIME: 11/30/2011 @ 1201 Hours

LOCATION: 1900 Block of Harbor Drive, Chester

VICTIM: Robert C. Short of Chester

NARRATIVE: Victim reported leaving some personal property in his friend’s Ford truck. While the vehicle was parked at the address, unknown person(s) stole the items, a wallet with $350 cash & cards and a GPS Unit valued at $150. No damage to the vehicle. Follow-up indicated that the victim’s bank card was attempted to be used later in the day at a 7/11 in Annapolis and a gas station in Landover.

INCIDENT: Assault

DATE/TIME: 11/30/2011 @ 1900 Hours

LOCATION: R’s Americantina, Stevensville

VICTIM: Linda Hartman of Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported being in a verbal altercation while in the establishment with a male only known as Tom. Victim went on to report while outside smoking a cigarette, the male struck her in the face, kicked her and then fled the location. The victim had no visible injuries. The man was located at another bar in Stevensville and was identified. Information provided to the victim of the identity and process to seek charges. As of 12/2 no charges have been issued.

LOCATION: Shore Stop, Main Street, Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to location for a report of a possible suicidal subject. Deputies located the subject who had been drinking. Due to statements the subject was making and that he had been transported for a similar incident earlier in the week, he was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION: Buckingham Drive, Stevensville

NARRATIVE: Dfc. Kellogg responded to location for a report of missing Christmas Ornaments. Colleen Winn reported several of her Candy Cane lawn ornaments were missing and others knocked over. (Valued @ $50). A patrol of the area resulted in locating another victim, Nancy Hedden-Kunkle who had a smashed antique salt crock. (Valued at $200). There were also several complaints of unknown persons knocking on doors and then running away before someone answered.

INCIDENT: Burglary

DATE / TIME: Reported 11/25/2011 @ 1300 Hours

LOCATION: 100 Block of Dominion Road, Chester

VICTIM: George J. Edwards of Chester

NARRATIVE: Victim reported being away from the residence for a couple of days and upon returning found a storm door broken and the interior door open. Victim reported several Mickey Mouse figurines and a sword in a white sheath to be missing. Items were valued at $175.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported he was working on his boat several weeks ago preparing it for the winter. When he returned on the 25th, he realized that his 2008 EZ Loader boat trailer was missing. The trailer is valued at $800.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the area reference to a juvenile male who after arguing with a female friend, had broken a parent’s cell phone and was threatening to burn a house down before leaving the residence. Deputies located the subject within 30 minutes and transported him to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

INCIDENT: CDS Possession

DATE / TIME: 11/25/2011 @ 2045 Hours

LOCATION: Brownsville Road, Centreville

ARREST: Female (16) of Church Hill

Male (16) Centreville

NARRATIVE: Deputy Harris was assisting MSP with a MV Collision in the Brownsville area when a Ford Mustang approached without the headlights on. When the car was stopped, Deputy Harris smelled a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the car resulted in the seizure from the three rear seat passengers, a smoking device with CDS residue, a baggie with suspected marijuana and cigarettes. The female (16) was referred to Juvenile Services for possession of CDS. All three were citied for underage possession of cigarettes. The three juveniles were later released to their parents. The driver of the car was issued a traffic citation and Equipment Repair Order.

INCIDENT: DWI

DATE / TIME: 11/26/2011 @ 0345 Hours

LOCATION: Rt. 213 Near Centreville

ARREST: Chevonne Elizabeth Plater (24) of Salisbury, MD

Danielle Lightfoot (25) of Salisbury

NARRATIVE: Centreville Police saw a vehicle on the shoulder of 213 outside of their area and requested the Sheriff’s Office respond. A check of the occupants indicated an argument of some sort had occurred due to yelling and cursing. It was also determined that the subject seated behind the steering wheel with the car running had been drinking. Field Sobriety tasks were attempted and resulted in Ms. Plater being placed under arrest for DWI. The passenger, Ms. Lightfoot was observed dropping a clear plastic baggie on the ground which contained suspected cocaine and she was also placed under arrest.

Plater was charged with DWI and later released to a sober friend. Lightfoot was charged with Possession of CDS and later released on her personal recognance by a District Court Commissioner.

INCIDENT: Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME: Reported 11/21/2011 @ 0715 Hours

LOCATION: 6100 Block of Sudlersville Road, Sudlersville

VICTIM: Peggy S. Short of Sudlersville

NARRATIVE: Victim reported finding the door of her Toyota Camry open and the contents of the car ransacked. No damage was reported however an estimated $20 in change was missing. The theft is believed to have occurred between 5 PM on 11/20 to 7 AM the following morning.

NARRATIVE: Family member reported finding Ms. Hunter deceased and contacted 911. Death appeared to be due to natural causes. No further investigation.

NARRATIVE: Family Member reported finding the victim passed out on the floor after she consumed alcohol and prescription medicine. Victim was transported to Chester River Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported having an argument with her boyfriend due to his coming home late. Victim stated that she then left the residence but her mother remained arguing with the male who is also the owner of the residence. The victim and her mother indicated they wished to leave, gathered belongings and left for the night. No charges were issued.

INCIDENT: DWI Arrest

DATE / TIME: Reported 11/24/2011 @ 0345 Hours

LOCATION: 300 Block of Wye Harbor Drive, Queenstown

ARRESTED: Jeffrey Aaron Cox (27) of Queenstown

NARRATIVE: Dfc. Boyles responded to the location for a report of a suspicious vehicle off of the roadway with the lights on. On arrival Boyles saw a gray Chevrolet Tahoe rocking back & forth in an attempt to get out of a ditch. The driver, later identified as Jeffrey Cox, had a strong odor of alcohol and was requested to step from his vehicle. Cox was muddy, unsteady standing and when asked if he had been drinking replied “as much as I can”. When asked for his driver’s license, Cox handed the deputy his cell phone.

Cox was placed under arrest, issued citations and later released to a sober family member. The truck was towed from the scene.

INCIDENT: Motor Vehicle Theft

DATE / TIME: Reported 11/24/2011 @ 0630 Hours

LOCATION: 501 Main Street, Church Hill

VICTIM: Gail Williamson of Church Hill

NARRATIVE: Victim reported that her 1993 white Jeep had been stolen during the night. Victim stated she heard an engine start during the night but didn’t check outside or looked at the clock. The jeep can be identified by a rusty top and a damaged driver’s side fender.
