VICTIM: Mark T. Buck of Chester
NARRATIVE: Victim reported sometime during the previous night someone had taken three dirt bikes from an unlocked shed in his fenced rear yard. The three bikes, a blue 2001 Yamaha TTR, a yellow Suzuki RM 85 and a white Honda XR80 were valued at $2600.

LOCATION: 300 Block of White House Road, Grasonville
VICTIM: Shawn M. Horney / Cheryl Horney of Grasonville
NARRATIVE: Shawn Horney reported that unknown person(s) had taken a TroyBilt pressure washer and a Stihl leaf blower from an unlocked shed at his property sometime between April 20 to May 4th. The items had an estimated value of $700.
Several houses away, Cheryl Horney discovered two Ryobi screw guns, a Ryobi drill and eight Ryobi batteries and Charger missing from her shed. The missing items were valued at $1000.

VICTIM: Eric Kappesser of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Victim reported he was attending a party at a residence in Cloverfields the previous evening and put his cell phone in his jacket. When he went to put his jacket on to leave, he discovered his Casio GZ Commando phone was missing. When he called his phone in an attempt to locate it, a male answered and then hung up. Victim stated he contacted Verizon and had his phone tracked and they advised it was in the “Pig Town” area of Baltimore City.

INCIDENT: Possession of CDS
DATE / TIME: 05/04/2013 @ 2202 Hours
LOCATION: North Lake Drive, Tower Gardens, Stevensville
ARREST: Male (16) from Stevensville

CHARGE: Possession of CDS (Marijuana) & Possession of CDS Paraphernalia
NARRATIVE: Deputies working special underage patrol observed two young males kneeling in front of a parked car at a vacant lot in Tower Gardens. When interviewed, the youths dropped two homemade smoking devices with suspected marijuana residue. A search of the vehicle which belonged to one of the youth’s grandmother resulted in the seizure of two small containers with suspected marijuana. Both boys were released to their parents and referred to Juvenile Services.

INCIDENT: Assault

LOCATION: Sherman Way, Chester, Maryland
VICTIM: Kellie M. Graham & Brian A. Holtman of Chester
ARREST: Cash Jamal Almond (18) of Grasonville
CHARGE: Assault 1st Degree (2 Counts) / Assault 2nd Degree (2 Counts) / Reckless Endangerment (2 Counts)
NARRATIVE: Victims reported hearing voices outside of their apartment went outside to investigate. They located two African American males and a white male and believed they were talking about robbing a handicapped neighbor. After a brief confrontation, the victims told the suspects to leave at which time one of the males allegedly displayed a knife and threatened to cut Mr. Holtman’s throat and to “poke” him. Victims reported that the male also made several arm motions towards them while holding the knife.
The suspects then fled the area and the suspect with the knife was identified as Cash Almond. Using social media sites, the others were also identified and all three were located at a residence on Creekside Commons. Almond was placed under arrest and a folding knife described by the victims was located in his pants pocket. Charges are pending on the other two subjects.
Almond was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing and held by a District Court Commissioner on a $100,000 bail. According to Maryland Judiciary Case Search, Almond’s bail was increased to $150,000 at a Bail Review on May 6th. He remains in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

LOCATION: Centreville, MD
VICTIM: Female (35) of Centreville
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to a residence outside of Centreville after a female called wanting to go to the hospital. On arrival they located the female in the house yelling at an imaginary male. The residence was in disorder with trash and appeared that things had been thrown about. The female was taken into custody and transported to Easton Memorial Hospital. While in transport the female became upset because she believed there was a snake in the patrol car.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported the theft of her purse from her kitchen occurring o 4/28. The theft was discovered when she learned a debit card had been used at several locations in Queen Anne, Denton and Delaware taking over $300. Investigation remains open at this time.

LOCATION: Tackle Circle @ Castle Marina Road, Chester
ARREST: Emily Christine Rowan (26) of Centreville
CHARGE: DWI / Failure to Control Speed / Negligent Driving
NARRATIVE: Deputy Parks responded to location for a report of a motor vehicle collision. On arrival he located a Volkswagen Jetta on an embankment resting on large landscape rocks. The driver, identified as Emily Rowan was seated in the vehicle and denied being injured. Indicators of alcohol consumption were present and she was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks. Based on her attempts, she was placed under arrest for DWI. Rowan was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and released to a sober friend.

VICTIM: Chuck’s Electrical Service, Centreville:
NARRATIVE: Supervisor at the building site reported that approximately 1000 feet of electrical wire had been cut and removed from the 4th floor unfinished apartments. The burglary occurred sometime from 6:30 on 5/5 to 0600 on 5/6. Damages and theft were estimated @ $1000.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported finding a 42 inch television valued at $1000 missing from the residence. The burglary occurred sometime in the last month as the house is a part-time residence.

NARRATIVE: Store Manager reported a tall white male entered the store, purchased several items at the deli and while waiting for the items picked up several TastyKake pies, retrieved his order and left without paying $2.00 for the pies. Given the tag number of the 1999 Infiniti the suspect was driving, photos of the suspect were reviewed from Delaware and identified by store personnel. Attempts to contact the suspect were unsuccessful and criminal charges were requested from a District Court Commissioner.

LOCATION: 600 Block of Dixon Tavern Road, Barclay
VICTIM: Samantha Collison of Chestertown / Chelsie Stansbury of Barclay
NARRATIVE: Ms. Collison reported she and Ms. Stansbury had responded to an ad on Craigslist for a house. Contact was made with the man who placed the listing who stated he was living in Africa and asked for a deposit. The victims sent him $300 by a money gram. When the contact person immediately requested additional money they became suspicious and realized they had been scammed.

LOCATION: 1400 Block of Land’s End Road, Centreville
VICTIM: Nancy J. Reed of Centreville
NARRATIVE: Victim reported being in her barn at about 2 AM checking on a pregnant horse and heard her electric gas pump turn on. When she went outside to check on it she saw a large white male pumping gas into a light colored passenger car with a small yellow bubble on the roof. When she confronted the man, he told her he had permission to get gas from the owner. Victim then told him she was the owner and grabbed the pump handle and took it away from him. The man then got into his car and left.
The suspect is described as a large white male about 40 to 50 years of age with long hair, unshaven wearing shorts and earrings. Approximately $50 of gas was taken, however the victim stated she has been losing gas for some time.
A Centreville Police officer recalled seeing a similar car delivering newspapers early mornings and advised Sgt. Johnston that they get their papers at Food Lion parking lot around 2 AM. Sgt. Johnston went to the location on his next nightshift and located the vehicle and the driver who fit the description. When confronted, the suspect admitted to taking the gas in order to finish his route. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE: Victim reported he was missing a brass pressure gauge used in submarines valued at $200 and had also learned that it had been pawned in Dover DE by a family member. Based on pawn records, charges have been filed with a District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the residence after a family member reported the juvenile had made suicidal statements earlier, was taken to Easton Memorial and released, but now was acting strangely and armed with a knife. On arrival, the juvenile was unarmed and was taken into custody and transported to Easton Memorial again.

VICTIM: Julia J. Glenn and David Thiess both of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Ms. Glenn advised she left her camera bag with an extra lens and charger on the back seat of David Thiess’ 2001 Audi while it was parked at Mr. Theiss’ residence. Later they discovered the rear window broken out and the camera bag missing. The missing items were valued at $340 and damage to the Audi estimated at $300.

LOCATION: 10 Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville
VICTIM: Life Science Products
NARRATIVE: Employee of the company reported that unknown persons had stolen 50 wooden pallets from the rear of the business on May 4th. A witness advised he saw three males in their mid to late 20’s loading the pallets. One male was about 6’1” tall stocky with short blonde hair. They were driving a dark GMC 4 door truck about 5-8 years old towing a black trailer about 8-10 feet long.
The pallets were valued at $375.
