ARREST:                     Haley Elizabeth Shick (18) of Stevensville

CHARGE:                    Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:              Victim advised he was arguing with his girlfriend when her daughter joined the argument. When the victim told her to go to her room, Shick began to strike the victim first with her hands and then with a TV remote.

 

The victim had visible injuries with swelling and a cut above his eye. Shick admitted to striking the victim and she was placed under arrest and charged with assault.

ARREST:                     George Edward Krug (47) of Easton

CHARGE:                    Trespassing / Fail to Obey Lawful Order

 

NARRATIVE:              Mr. Krug entered the courthouse several minutes after closing and demanded to see the judge. When advised the courthouse and all the offices were closed, he refused to leave, became loud and refused to leave. When he was advised again to leave, Mr. Krug removed all items from his pockets and said to “lock him up, I’ll see the judge that way”.

NARRATIVE:              Mr. Davis reported tenants at the building were complaining there was no heat. After contacting a HVAC repair company he was advised that the electric wires to four commercial HAVC units had been cut and removed. The estimated damage was placed at $20,000 with the damage occurring something between February 26 to March 3rd.

NARRATIVE:              Victim reported several items missing from his store, Exposed Treasures & Antiques. Victim stated that he suspected a former employee  as entry was made using a key. Among the items missing were sterling silver jewelry, a silver hair brush set and a piece of art. Items had an estimated value of $1200.

 

A check of local pawn shops resulted in locating several of the items that had been pawned by the former employee. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE:              The president of the HOA reported someone had spray painted the sign at the entrance of the community sometime on Sunday (3/2) or Monday (3/3) for the second time this year. Damage was estimated at $150.

LOCATION:               RT 301 near Price Station Road Church Hill

 

ARREST:                     Victor Shawn McKoy (46) of Bowie, MD

CHARGE:  False Statement to Police Officer

 

NARRATIVE:              A black Mercedes with DE tags was stopped for speeding and the driver was asked for his license and was unable to produce it. He advised the deputy his name was Cortez McKoy born in 1963. The deputy checked the MVA photo on his in-car data terminal and could see that was a different person. The driver insisted he was Cortez and was placed under arrest.

 

A search of the subject’s pockets located a receipt to a Shawn McKoy. With a few more checks on the computer the subject was identified as Victor Shawn McKoy, who had three outstanding warrants on file in Prince George’s County. Two of the warrants were for Failure to perform contract and acting as a contractor without a license. The third was for Theft over $500.

 

McKoy was held on a $15,000 bond which was later posted by a bail bondsman.

LOCATION:               8000 Block of Bridgepoint Drive, Chester

VICTIM:                     Cindy Sindorf of Stevensville

ARREST:                     Cory Steven Schweitzer (35) of Chester

CHARGE:                    Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:              Victim had reported being assaulted by her child’s father and then locked out of the residence. On arrival the victim stated she had been choked and struck in the mouth and had visible injuries consistent with her statements.

 

Contact was made with the suspect who denied any assault but had a fresh cut on his hand. He was placed under arrest for assault. He was later released on an unsecured bond.

 

The victim did not seek any medical attention and left the residence with the child once a family member arrived.

CHARGE:                    Driving without a license, Unregistered MV, False Tags

 

NARRATIVE:              Dfc. Burns stopped a black BMW for displaying an expired Maryland tag. The driver was identified as Gregory Idso who stated he was aware the tags were expired and his license was suspended a year ago. It was also learned that the tags were for another vehicle and the BMW was unregistered. After processing at Sheriff’s Headquarters, Idso was released on a $3000 bail by a District Court Commissioner.

LOCATION:               Outlet Centre Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM:                     Male (28) from Caroline County

NARRATIVE:              EMS had been called for a subject unresponsive in a car parked at the Outlets and requested a Deputy to respond.

 

Contact was made with the man who had a syringe in his hand and was apparently under the influence of CDS. Once the man was in custody, EMS began treatment and later transported him to Easton Memorial Hospital by Ambulance.

 

The vehicle was searched and in addition to the syringe, suspected heroin and Suboxone pills were seized. Items were sent to the lab for testing and charges are pending.

ARREST:                     Steven Ross Butler (26) of Stevensville

CHARGE:                    Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree (2 Counts), Reckless Endangerment

 

NARRATIVE:              On arrival deputies saw a white male throw something on the ground and run into a residence. One of the victims, Richard Martin was bleeding on the cheek indicated the male had assaulted him.

 

Inside the residence there were signs of an altercation and the male, Steven Butler was located in a rear bedroom. Butler was bleeding from the nose, cursing and disorderly and making threats to harm others.

 

Victims stated that Butler wasn’t supposed to be at the residence and that Butler had thrown a wheelbarrow tire at Mr. Martin, pushed Mrs. Martin and struck Mr. Martin in the face. At that time Mr. Martin defended himself and punched Butler in the nose. Butler was then said to have gotten a BB gun and threatened the Martins again.

 

Butler was taken into custody and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree (2 Counts), Reckless Endangerment. After processing, Butler was held without bond.

VICTIM:                     Meredith Ripple of Stevensville and Jocelyn Moulden of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:              Ms. Ripple reported that while parked at Mowbray Park he Lexus SUV had been broken into by smashing a window. Missing was her black leather purse and a black bag with an HP laptop. Her estimated loss was over $1000.

 

At the same time, a second report of a vehicle break in was at Terrapin Park. The victim there reported her vehicle had a smashed window and her wallet and backpack was gone. The estimated loss was $300.

NARRATIVE:              Deputies responded to an address in Stevensville after a parent fond their teenager had slit his wrists and taken a bottle of medication. The teenager was transported by ambulance to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

NARRATIVE:         Several residents on Davol Road reported their mailboxes damaged sometime during the early morning hours. A neighborhood canvas located a witness who saw a young male and female dressed in black running from the area.

LOCATION:           Sherman Drive, Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:         Victim reported receiving notification from the IRS that her return was under review for several reasons. Victim felt this was odd since she had not yet filed her return. A credit check showed inquiries in January from Wisconsin that is unexplained. Victim advised her information could be from the security breach at the University of Maryland.
