INCIDENT: Burglary
DATE / TIME: 12/28/2013 @ 1131 Hours (Reported)
LOCATION: 300 Block of Clannihan Shop Road, Centreville
VICTIM: James Leager of Queenstown
NARRATIVE: Caretaker of the location reported finding the garage had been broken into recently. The building had been ransacked with several thousand dollars of cash missing.

INCIDENT: Theft
DATE / TIME: 12/29/2013 @ 1533 Hours
LOCATION: 800 Block of Cloverfields Drive, Stevensville
VICTIM: Mary J. Tarlecki of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Victim advised she had a few people over to the residence while other family members were away on 12/27. Some of the guests were accompanied by persons unknown to her. On the 29th family members discovered items missing including a Kindle Fire, several gift cards and bottles of Ralph Lauren cologne with a total value of $660.

INCIDENT: Counterfeit Currency
DATE / TIME: 12/30/2013 @ 0730 Hours
LOCATION: 115 Blue Jay Court, Stevensville
VICTIM: Cracker Barrel
NARRATIVE: Two men in a group of four purchased several items using $100 bills while getting most of the money in change. When the manager checked the bills they turned out to be counterfeit.

INCIDENT: MDOP
DATE / TIME: 12/30/2013 @ 0824 (Reported)
LOCATION: Sudlersville
VICTIM: See Narrative
NARRATIVE: Several reports of vandalism in Sudlersville were received. A county Roads truck had two tires punctured while parked on Foxtown Road. Damage was estimated at $300.
At the Town Hall on South Church Street evidence was found that someone had attempted to set the building on fire. Fire Marshall was contacted and took over that incident.
In front of St. Andrew Church a stop sign and a light post were damaged.
At Maple Avenue the stop sign there had been pulled up.
At the Post Office someone had cut 2 tires on a mail truck. Damage was estimated at $300.
Several residents who were contacted reported seeing juvenile males out the evening . Investigation continues.

INCIDENT: Found Property

NARRATIVE: Citizen reported an abandoned bicycle in the area. Deputies responded and located the bike which was later placed into property held. Anyone missing a bike can call to verify if it is theirs. (410) 758-0770

INCIDENT: Violation of Protection Orders
DATE / TIME: 12/30/2013 @ 1851 Hours
LOCATION: 4th Street Crumpton
VICTIM: See Narrative
ARREST: Granville Harrison Wilds Sr. (83) of Crumpton
Ruth Ann Wilds (60) of Crumpton
CHARGE: Violation of Protection Order
NARRATIVE: Ruth Wilds reported her husband had violated a protection order at their residence. She stated when she confronted Mr. Wilds over a bill, he allegedly smacked her across the face with a back scratcher.
When deputies talked to Mr. Wilds he stated she had confronted him over a bill and when he got up to leave, she had blocked him. When he threatened to call the police, she allegedly threw the phone at him.
A check revealed that both individuals had active Protection Orders. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing.

INCIDENT: Possession of CDS
DATE / TIME: 12/30/2013 @ 2151 Hours
LOCATION: Kent Narrows Bridge, Chester
ARREST: Chase Benjamin Howard (19) of Greensboro
CHARGE: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Speeding Citation
NARRATIVE: A tan Chevrolet truck was stopped for speeding. When the deputy made contact with the driver a strong odor of marijuana was detected. The driver was identified as Chase Howard. A search of the truck resulted two glass jars with suspected marijuana and a glass smoking device. Howard was issued a traffic citation and criminal charges and was later released on his own recognizance.

DATE / TIME: 12/31/2013 @ 0316 Hours
LOCATION: 3206 Main Street, Grasonville
VICTIM: Female (41) of Bowie
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the Hilton Garden Inn to assist EMS with an intoxicated female. The woman was reported to becoming violent, throwing things, slamming doors and making threats to harm persons. She was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center by Patrol Car for assistance.

LOCATION: 2739 Cox Neck Road, Chester
VICTIM: Female (69) Unknown, VA
NARRATIVE: Deputies responded to the KI Methodist Church for female staying at the shelter who was saying her child had been kidnapped and was there at the church. The female was very disoriented. She was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION: 100 Block of Chester River Heights RD, Millington
VICTIM: AT&T Wireless
NARRATIVE: Employee of AT&T reported when he came to check a tower location, found the door open and six copper Bus Bars (electrical connectors) missing. The bars have a value of $500 each with repair costs estimated at $3000.

LOCATION: Fox Run Lane, Stevensville
VICTIM: Male (56) of Stevensville
NARRATIVE: Family member advised he attempted to pick up the victim from the residence because he had been drinking and becoming violent with other family members. After he began to break furniture, deputies were called. The subject was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.
