PRESS RELEASE

INCIDENT:   Traffic Stop / Driving Under the Influence

DATE / TIME:   03/18/18 @ 12:45 AM

LOCATION:   Route 18 @ Kent Narrow Way South Grasonville, MD

DRIVER / ARRESTED:   Emily Anthony (32 yr. old female from Centreville, MD)

DETAILS:   Cpl. Martz initiated a traffic stop on a red Toyota Camry displaying a MD license plate A284397 traveling above the posted speed limit.  Cpl. Martz detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.   While speaking with the driver, Emily Anthony, Cpl. Martz noticed that she was slurring her speech.  During his investigation Cpl. Martz conduct the standardized field sobriety tests on Anthony.  Subsequently, Anthony was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  After appropriate documents were issued, Anthony was released from the scene to a sober driver.

INCIDENT:   Traffic Stop / Driving Under the Influence

DATE / TIME:   03/18/18 @ 01:57 AM

LOCATION:   Route 18 near Safeway Chester, MD

DRIVER / ARRESTED:  Jeffrey Cresanto (46 yr. old male from Chester, MD)

DETAILS:   Deputy Pack conducted a traffic stop on a blue 2006 Hyundai Elantra, bearing MD license plate 8BR5122 for failure to maintain lane.  During the stop, Deputy Pack detected the odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.  The driver, Jeffrey Cresanto did state that he had consumed a few alcoholic drinks.  At that time, Deputy Pack had Cresanto complete the standardized field sobriety tests.  Ultimately, Cresanto was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  After appropriate documents were issued, Cresanto was released to a sober driver.

INCIDENT:  Driving Under the Influence

DATE / TIME:  3/17/19 at 2:08 AM

LOCATION:  Route 213 at 18 in Centreville

DEFENDANT:  Rebecca A. Salazar, W, F, Age 22, from Trappe

DETAILS:  While conducting routine patrol, Dep Pack observed a vehicle going above the posted speed limit.  When he made contact with the driver, he identified her as Rebecca Salazr.  He detected an odor of alcoholic beverages and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted. The driver was then taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence. Ms. Rebecca Salazar was issued citations and released to a sober responsible party.

INCIDENT:                              Assault

DATE / TIME:                         03/19/2018 approximately 2303 hours

LOCATION:                            100 Block of Kirby St, Chester MD

VICTIM:                                  54yo male of Chester

SUSPECT:                               Jessie J. Ringold, 28 male of Chester

DETAILS:             Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Kirby street in Chester in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as Donald Jones. The suspect was identified by Jones as his nephew, Jessie Ringold. Jones stated that the assault took place in the 100 block of Kirby St and occurred approximately one hour prior to the Sheriff’s office being contacted. When deputies arrived, Ringold had already left the residence. Jones was referred to the commissioner’s office and informed on how to attain a protective order.

INCIDENT: Theft
DATE / TIME: 3/20/2018 at 7:44pm
LOCATION: 5000 Block of Sudlersville Rd, Sudlersville MD 21668
VICTIM: Male of Sudlersville MD.
DETAILS: On 3/20/2018 at approximately 7:44 PM, Deputies responded to 5000 block of Sudlersville Rd for a past theft. Deputies made contact with the victim. He stated he had a truck bed body in the field next to his house for sale. The victim noticed that the truck bed body was missing. The victim estimated the value of the truck bed body to be approximately $200. A family friend did contact the victim, stating he did see two African American males loading the truck bed body into a tan or gold colored GMC pickup a day earlier on 3/19/2018 around 1:20 pm . They assumed someone had purchased it. If anyone has information on this theft, please contact the Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County.
