INCIDENT:           Theft

LOCATION:         121 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

VICTIM:                Calvin Klein

 

NARRATIVE:       Employees from the store called the Sheriff’s Office and reported that three suspects had attempted to leave the store with merchandise that had not been purchased. It was reported that as the three attempted to leave the store, security sensors beeped. When confronted the suspects put an Adidas bag on the floor and left the store. A search of the bag revealed 12 pairs of women’s panties and two men’s shirts. The three suspects, described as two white males wearing polo shirts and long shorts and a white female all with dark hair had fled the area in different directions.  A check of nearby stores failed to develop additional suspect info. The two recovered shirts were damaged when suspects attempted to remove security sensors. The recovered items were valued at $217.

INCIDENT:           Attempted Burglary

LOCATION:         2600 block of Harrington Road, Chester MD

VICTIM:                Margarete Davis of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim advised she and her husband left the residence earlier in the evening and left two side windows partially open. Upon returning a couple of hours later they saw that the window screen had been removed. After a check of the house it appeared that no entry had been made and the screen was not damaged.

LOCATION:         Cemetery Road / Bennett Point Road area, Grasonville

VICTIM:                Male (38) of Annapolis, MD

 

NARRATIVE:       Sheriff’s Office received a call advising a male subject walking in the area of Cemetery Road & Bennett Point Road in Grasonville was possibly suicidal. The subject was located in the area and when interviewed advised of thoughts on harming himself and other related issues. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION:         2400 Block of Bloomingdale Road, Centreville

VICTIM:                Vernon L. Higdon Jr. of Centreville

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported finding his mailbox on the ground with damage consistent to being struck by a baseball bat or pipe. A check of the area resulted in locating a second mail box damaged in the 2300 hundred block property of Jerry Harris. Each mailbox was valued at $40.

LOCATION:         Parking Lot of “The Jetty”, Grasonville

VICTIM:                Enterprise Rental Cars

 

NARRATIVE:       David Tolson of Centreville reported that as he was cleaning out his rental car to return it, he discovered fresh scratch marks on the Dodge Charger’s rear passenger door. Mr. Tolson believes the damage occurred the previous night while parked in the parking lot of the Jetty. Damage was estimated at $600.

INCIDENT:           Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:      03/25/2012 @ 2345 Hours

LOCATION:         37E Queen Anne Way, Chester

VICTIM:                Linda L. James of Chester

ARREST:               Kevin Allen James (48) of Chester

CHARGES:           Assault (2 Counts)

 

NARRATIVE:       Law Enforcement responded to residence following a report of a domestic assault in progress. On arrival, Mr. James attempted to deny entry into the home. While he was detained, contact was made with Linda James, wife of the suspect. Ms. James had visible bruises on her face and a swollen cut lip. She advised her husband had been drinking and an argument started ending in Mr. James punching in the face and holding her in a headlock. It was also reported that Mr. James kicked Mrs. James in the stomach and head while she was on the floor.

 

Kevin James was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of assault. After processing at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, James was placed on a $5000 bond which was posted by a bail bondsman and released.

INCIDENT:           Possession of CDS – (Not Marijuana)

DATE / TIME:      03/26/2012 @ 0237 Hours

LOCATION:         Rt. 8 near Mattapex Plantation Lane, Stevensville

ARREST:               David Andrew Kinder (44) of Hughesville, MD

CHARGES:           Possession of CDS – (Alprazolam)

                                Traffic – Negligent Driving, Reckless Driving, Fail to drive Right of Center

 

NARRATIVE:       Shortly after a ATL (Attempt to Locate) for a possible DWI driving a blue Ranger pickup was broadcast, Sgt. Jones located the truck on Route 8 near Mattapex Plantation Lane going south. Jones saw the truck weaving in the roadway going from the shoulder to crossing the center line. As Sgt. Jones attempted to stop the truck, it pulled onto the shoulder, drove into the ditch and the returned to the shoulder where it stopped. The driver was identified as David Kinder who stated he was coming from Elkridge going to the Detention Center in Annapolis to pick up a friend who had been arrested. When told he had missed his destination, the driver appeared to be confused.  The driver did not have any evidence of consuming alcohol but did state he was on a medication for an addiction. The driver told Sgt. Jones that was the only medication he takes. During the stop three capsules were located in the Mr. Kinder’s cigarette pack which were identified as Alprazolam ( Xanax).           

 

Mr. Kinder was placed under arrest for Possession of CDS and several Traffic Charges. A District Court Commissioner later released Kinder on his personal recognizance.
