INCIDENT:           Theft from Motor Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      07/21/2016 @ 0649 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         100 Block of Goldfinch Lane East, Centreville

 

DETAILS:              Sometime during the night, unknown person broke the window on her 2001 Toyota Solara and stole her purse she had left on the front seat. The purse was a brown leather Michael Kors bag with her driver’s license, various bank and gift cards and a small amount of cash. The loss was estimated at $300 and damages at $500.

 

Later that day, the victim’s bank card and a credit card were recovered thrown out on Marion Quimby Drive in Stevensville.

INCIDENT:           Theft from Motor Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      07/21/2016 @ 0930 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         100 Block of Marion Quimby Drive, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported the theft of items from his Toyota Tacoma pickup sometime during the night. A subwoofer speaker, a radar detector and Rayban sunglasses valued at $1600 were taken. No damage was reported on the vehicle.

INCIDENT:           Burglary

DATE / TIME:      07/22/2016 @ 0211 Hours

LOCATION:         100 Block of Gravel Run Road, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:              A neighbor observed a suspect in dark clothing attempting to break into the house thru a window and called 911. Several units responded and searched the home unable to locate the suspect.

 

Investigation indicates that the suspect had poked his arm thru a kitchen window in an attempt to reach medications on the counter area.

DATE / TIME:      07/22/2016 @ 0734 Hours

LOCATION:         100 Block of Mainsail Drive, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:              1st victim reported hearing her dogs barking while getting ready for work and about a half hour later found her car had been rummaged thru but nothing appeared to be missing.

 

A second call came in from the 200 block and the victim was reporting the theft of prescription medication from the console of his SUV.

 

Both vehicles had been left unlocked and no damage was reported.

INCIDENT:           Fraud / Theft

DATE / TIME:      07/22/2016 @ 1109 HOURS

LOCATION:         Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported getting a phone call from a grandson advising he had been arrested after police found cocaine and a gun in his vehicle. Victim was told to go purchase four $500 iTunes gift cards and to call back with the codes. Victim did as told and was told the grandson would call shortly.

 

When no call was received, contact was made with the grandson who advised he had been golfing all day and had no contact with the police.

 

A second call to the “contact” number stated that no voice mail had been set up.

INCIDENT:           CDS Possession

DATE / TIME:      07/22/2016 @ 1900 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 301 @ Cherry Lane, Queenstown

 

DETAILS:              A Chrysler 300 with Tennessee plates was observed at 20 over the speed limit. The vehicle with three occupants was stopped near John Brown Road, Centreville.

 

While talking with the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was noted coming from the vehicle.  A check indicated the driver Michael Andrew Dorsey Jr. (19) of Waldorf, MD was suspended.

 

A search of the car resulted in locating a gym bag with two sandwich baggies full of suspected marijuana well over 10 grams. The bag was owned by a passenger, Antonio Tyrel Toye (19) of Aquasco MD.

 

Dorsey was issued traffic citations at the scene. Toye was placed under arrest and transported for processing. He was later released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

INCIDENT:           Assault 2nd Degree

DATE / TIME:      07/23/2016 @ 1430 Hours

LOCATION:         400 block of Chester River Heights Road, Millington (QA)

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported arguing with a male friend over a broken cell phone and past relationships. During the argument the male suspect had thrown her to the floor, punched her shoulder and put his hands around her neck. At that time, she had fled to residence and drove to another location and called 911.

 

Victim had bruises, marks and scratches consistent to her description of the altercation.

 

Cpl. Russell responded to the location and made contact with a subject there who advised they did not know where the suspect could be.

 

The suspect, Robert Allen Knapp III (28) of Millington was located hiding by his truck parked in the garage. He was placed under arrest and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing.

 

When taken before a District Court Commissioner, Knapp was released on a $50,000 unsecured bond.
