DATE / TIME:      03/12/2015 @ 1547 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         Prospect Bay Drive West, Grasonville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Stuart Warner of Grasonville reported unknown person had broken out the rear window of his Toyota Camry with a golf club. The incident occurred while he was away sometime from March 8th to the 12th. Nothing was reported missing and damages were estimated at $200.

INCIDENT:           Motor Vehicle Theft

DATE / TIME:      03/12/2015 @ 2154 Hours

LOCATION:         Queenstown Outlets, Queenstown

NARRATIVE:       Thomas Cole of Capital Heights, MD reported he had parked a 2014 Kia Forte at the Outlets while shopping Thursday evening.  When he went to return to the car he discovered it missing. Mr. Cole stated he may have dropped the keys while getting a child from the rear seat. The owner of the vehicle, Budget Rental Car was notified.

The vehicle was located by Easton Police on the following day.

INCIDENT:           Burglary

DATE / TIME:      03/13/2015 @ 0906 Hours

LOCATION:         1521 Postal Road, Chester, MD

NARRATIVE:       An employee arrived at the Sears Store and saw thru the window that numerous items were in disarray and notified the Sheriff’s Office. Upon entry no one was located in the store however the entire showroom was a mess. A stove and several BBQ grills were pushed over and boxes of items were scattered about. Many of the items were damaged and at this time no dollar amount has been determined of damages or items missing.

Case remains under investigation.

INCIDENT:           Theft / Burglary

DATE / TIME:      03/13/2015 @ 1147 Hours

LOCATION:         400 Block of South Church Street, Sudlersville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Catherine King reported that a 5 gallon water jug with coins and currency was missing from her residence. The jug was last observed on 3/11 and discovered missing on the 13th. The estimated loss was placed at $1000.

INCIDENT:           MDOP / Leaving the Scene of an Accident

DATE / TIME:      03/15/2015 @ 0245 hours

LOCATION:         1900 Block of Duhamel Corner Road, Sudlersville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Melissa Thompson of Sudlersville reported seeing a pickup truck doing “doughnuts” in her farm field.  She also saw the truck leave the field, then run into a ditch, striking a mailbox & and a utility box before getting stuck in the mud.  Ms. Thompson identified the truck as a Dodge truck with a white male driver. A short time later a Ford truck and a white tow truck arrived to assist the Dodge.

Follow-up investigation resulted in the arrest of Richard Bryan Blades (24) of Sudlersville for MDOP, Trespass on cultivated land & leaving the scene of an accident.  At an initial appearance, Blades was held on a $7500 bond by a District Court Commissioner.

INCIDENT:           Disorderly Conduct

DATE / TIME:      03/15/2015 @ 0007 Hours

LOCATION:         511 Chesterfield Avenue, Centreville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Sgt. Johnston responded to location to assist Centreville Police with a disorderly subject who refused to leave the establishment. Several attempts were made to get the man to leave with a friend however he refused.  At that time he was placed under arrest and removed from the scene.

James Franklin Leaverton Jr. (28) of Chestertown, MD was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbance of the peace, obstructing & hindering and resisting arrest.

Leaverton was held in custody by a District Court Commissioner until a $25,000 bond was posted.
